Hey Guys,
Just posting for those who are bored and waiting for a new Show N Shine thread. Just did a paint correction / Touch up paint on an obsidian RX350. The car had deep scratches all over the car and about 30% of the car needed to be wet sanded. The guy works at a Toyota dealer and just recently got a paint correction at the dealership. He noticed that the paint was still in horrible shape after the detail so decided to call me. The correction took about 40 hours with my partner and I working together. If corrected alone, the car could have taken 60+ hours to do... The previous detailer left a lot of deep sanding marks on the edges and needed to sand the paint with my own technique to get rid of the marks without burning the paint through. Some of the scratches needed wet sanding down to 800 grit to 1000 grit. I used around 40 pads in total. For any professionals doing a lot of paint correction, please get a Scangrip. Makes life so much easier after purchasing it via autogeek.
I am still trying to learn to post images on the site but here is the link to my website if anyone wants to see it!
Thanks!
