Blackfire One Step vs. HD Speed

I'm really feeling this Blackfire line!
Below are pictures of 2 Nortons. Only hand applied Blackfire Polish using round yellow foam applicator and sealed with Blackfire Sealant on the fenders and gas tank.
The polish really took out the dull film and 60-70 % of swirls!
Took me 15 - 20 minutes each bike using polish and sealant! Good cut, easy on and easy off!

I can't wait to try the one step on black paint!!!

I bit the bullet too...$24 shipped! Kind of a no brainier but didn't want other products laying around. I like to use up what I have first before buying more.

This is encouraging, especially since I own two soft-painted Japanese make vehicles (one of which is black).
 
I polished my sons truck with Blackfire one-step on Thanksgiving weekend. Washed it this weekend, and the beading is still strong.

Truck it outside 24/7.
 
Is this good on white paint or light colored? Hd Speed user here. Thanks

Don’t get caught up on paint color. It will work equally well on all paint colors.

I would be happy with that!

I have a 2 oz. sample of the Blackfire. Would this be enough to polish my wife's G8? It's a pretty big car.
 
Anybody compare the blackfire one step to the new meguiars polishing wax?

Yes, it will be close but I use less of BF 1-step than I do with HD Speed on an average sized car

D166 cuts great for an AIO and works much better with microfiber cutting pads closed cell foam pads. It's a very wet product that absorbs into open-cell foam pads too quickly for me.

HD Speed doesn't have as much cut but it's finish is incredible on most all paints. It works great on most of the foam pads I've tried it with. Not great with microfiber. Won't stain trim.

Blackfire 1-step rivals HD Speed in finish and gloss, little bit better correction than HD Speed, works on virtually any paint type, is great with microfiber and foam pads.
 
Did my first test of BF AIO just a little while ago on my daughters Altima hood.

It does a good job, I personally don't see a big difference between it or HD Speed. Both are easy to use and finish out well. I used my G21 with an orange Buff & Shine 5.5" pad. We'll see how it holds up over the next few months. I won't top it off or baby it as I don't do that on our daily drivers so it will be real world test. Even more so since pollen season is already in full swing down here.

I bought the BF on sale, but as HD Speed is normally 25% percent less for a 32 oz. bottle I'll still give Speed the edge for over all value.

good point. Those pads are definitely open cell but they might be because they do a phenomenal job of keeping product on the face of the pad they may be an exception with D166. For me, the B&S maroon uro-tec pads and the green rupes pads with D166 didn't work very well at all for me. Lots of splatter even once the pad was lightly primed.

I'd give it another shot on some soft finicky dark paint. I agree, it is very comparable to HD Speed in performance and finish. On light color cars, I've been sticking with HD Speed as well.
 
I played with speed and BF today on one of my test panels.

BF broke down to nearly clear after 5 passes, cut well and wipe off was incredibly easy. It was also very slick. Beat out speed in all these regards, if only by a little.

Gloss meter had them even with 92-93 gu at 60 degrees. BF was 82-85 at 20 degrees while speed was 80-83 at 20 degrees. Not a substantial difference and likely can be attributed to the additional defect removal rather than finishing ability.
