I found a comment Guz made about using a foam pad with the d300, which is what I want to do tomorrow on my new 2018 Honda HRV. It's just the typical Japanese new car paint that has virtually no gloss to it and the depth of reflection is very very weak. The paint is fine for somebody that doesn't do detailing, but I know it can be much better.
Any tips? I'm going to use a griots cordless 5 inch with a medium white foam pad, followed by McKees 10 minute paint sealant, or maybe blackfire si02 spray, I have both.. The car has been polished last year and clayed. Other than the low gloss, the paint is in great shape, passes the baggie test.
any tips? All I have is the griots , the foam pad, and the sealants, so please don't suggest I use something else. This is all I brought with me on vacation. I did a test spot earlier today, and the gloss improved substantially with 2 to 3 passes.
