Multiple towel method.........

The towel rolling method I'm practicing too.

Dam it, all this talk about rinse-less washing has me wanting me to go keep practicing.
As dirty as your toys don't get really, RW & TW is really the way to go. You can pre-treat the wheel faces but it's not like a total cleaning with brushes so it's 100% factory fresh but that "may" be ok

Agreed.

I thoroughly enjoy using my pressure washer and foam cannon, lashings of soap for the fun of it sometimes. But I'm really loving the rinse-less experience too.

I have one hurdle with rinse-less on the XR8 and Mustang; they have really dusty Brembo brakes, something that I think warrants a more thorough cleaning or least a pre-rinse. On the XR6, Jaguar and Ranger, I'm happy just with a quick rinse-less over the wheel face and calling it good.

I took the Mustang to work today, that in itself is always a recipe for a feel-good day.

We have a mini-golf course to supplement the nursery business, school holidays are always a busy time with parents looking for activities to occupy their children.

At about 4pm today, a lady came in with two 10-year-old boys to play golf, one who then asked if the Mustang in the carpark was mine, cue lots of questions. :D I'm not good with kids, but if it's a subject that I love, then I'm in my element.

I sort of knew where this was going to lead. Right on cue, they returned from their game and handed in the clubs just as I was about to go home, cue "can you rev it up".............. :D

A couple of blips of the throttle and then a full throttle launch onto the highway was my parting gift. I know I lived for stuff like this as a kid,
so hopefully I infected them with the Ford disease today like I was with several encounters with hot Falcon's.

(Note - I always start the car to warm it up before I leave, so I didn't thrash on a cold engine with the above antics)

Yeah it’s weird I’ll cleans some dirty a$$ paint but have yet to get into rinseless’ing wheels.

I think Ech20 is better off as a QD.

I’ve only tried Ech2o once as a rinseless and it seemed to work ok. My drawback is that it seems like you’re using so much of the bottle to make one bucket lol.

I found ECH20 wasn't quite as lubricating as I like. I mixed it with Duragloss Rinseless and get the best of both products.

I use 2 oz of Ech2o in 4 gallons of water, never ever had a problem

I feel it’s up there with absolute but CarPro recommends 2-3 oz per 3 gallons and I go with 3 to get dilution I like. Just leaves more floaties.

Ech2o can be a PITA as a WW, so I just stick with N914 and Feynlab for those duties, will try DIY Detail RW as a WW in the future though.

After conferring with The Guz, you can use ECH20 at 200:1 for rinse-less washing. If the car is dusty to mildly dirty, use the same 200:1 as the presoak, for a dirtier car use the 20:1 ratio.

Ordinarily, I would go out and detail my sister's car after lunch on Christmas Day. However, she is overseas for Christmas so I had to improvise.........

After a spate of rinse-less washes over the last couple of weeks, it was a return to the pressure washer and foam cannon today. I also wanted to try out Turtle Wax's new wheel and tyre cleaner.

I only used this on the tyres as this stuff is pretty potent, it had no trouble stripping these Dunlop's clean. As you can see, this is a foaming product and also contains an anti-corrosion agent. I hate the smell of this product though; it has a very heavy degreaser chemical odor to it that certainly removes some of the fun.

Onto the paint, I was itching to use Shine Supply Shift again! I love this soap, a pleasure to use in both the bucket and foam cannon.

OG Drying Aid today after the blow down with the EGO, glass taken care of via NV Clarity.

Today was my first use of the Milwaukee cordless vac, which I found super convenient for quick clean ups.

Returning to the exterior, as you can see, the tyres are stripped bare and ready for dressing.

Dressing of choice was another new product, the ridiculously named Turtle Wax Hybrid Solutions Graphene Tire Shine.

This product is labeled "Graphene Acrylic", which is supposed to repel water and contamination. It actually smells like acrylic paint too. I need to play more with this product as it seemed to start drying in an un-even manner, necessitating a second coat to ensure a uniform look.

Christmas is not a fun time of the year for me, mainly in the buildup to the big day. I just hate the pressure that people impose on themselves to make things look and feel "perfect".......... there is no such thing in life. But I do realise that it's all about feeling loved, content and doing what makes you happy. That's why I wash a car on Christmas day, it's the escape that I need, and luckily my family understand that. It's also why I'm parked in front of the TV watching the delightful Miss M do here thing............

Merry Christmas. :xyxthumbs:

Yeah the Hyper Foam seems to do a better job on the tires than the rims, although because most of us agitate our rims when cleaning it's very solid wheel cleaner....BUT on tires, the amount of brown pulled out is amazing, it's almost instant upon spraying it on the tires!

It looks like you evened out those tires Deyon, looking forward to longevity reports as that's your work truck

Do what makes you happy, including music. I listen to a lot of different stuff, and there's a few of her tracks on the USB stick playing on random in the FJ.

At work I'm forced to listen to my bosses music choices, all thrash metal, all the time. I can honestly say, and I've told him this, he hasn't played a single tune I like, or even know. It's a nightmare.

Yeah I guessing the foaming tire cleaner is a serious tire cleaner. I just don’t like their caveats on wheels.

I know the 303 T&R (DFB if you can get this try it, best tire cleaner I’ve used) and TufShine cleaner are safe for all wheels.

We don't 303 Tire & Rubber Cleaner or TufShine in Australia.

I have seen TufShine mentioned countless times on this forum, so I would love to try it.

I rarely use a wheel cleaner when cleaning my own cars, most times I find soap is more than capable. As such, I'll probably never use that product on wheels, unless I need something strong on a customer's car.

I work in retail, so we have been listening to Christmas music for the last 25 days! When it's not Christmas music, it's often the same songs played all day everyday..........gets old after a while. :nomore:

So, the trip to and from work is time for MY music! And 9 times out of 10, its Kylie blasting out the speakers. I used to hide that obsession, but her music has saved me countless times over the years. I would love to meet her one day!

Super geeky, but can I ask what songs of hers you have on that USB?

The second wipe over with the product was worthwhile. I went out into the garage a few hours later and they look great.

And yes, on my work truck. Those are odd tires, they strip clean with minimal effort, and then amplify the gloss of any product applied to them.

If you haven’t tried the small round make up brush that was popular for a while you should try it. I think you’ll appreciate it, especially on your cars with small sidewalls (Mustang).

I don’t like it for application, what it was popular for. It used too much product. Was great for leveling product and getting into all the letters and sipe.

I know you usually use a detail brush but I find this a little better especially if tire has all those tiny ridged in the letters or design.

I try to freshen the mix up every couple of months, but it's been over 6 months. Currently it's:
Can't get you out of my head, my favourite of hers, I don't think I will ever take it off.
I'm spinning around.
and In your eyes.

I think currently the USB has about 700+ tracks, everything from Classical to Blue Grass, Classic Rock, Blues, Pop, Rock n Roll, Country & Western, there's even one of Bill Connolly playing Winchburgh Junction on his banjo. I gotta say there's not much music from the last few years that has any interest for me.

I have these little brushes, they say Maxshine on them, but they are 100% a makeup brush. Very nice to use.

I also have the DF Curve Ball brush, but I can't bring myself to use this for tires.
