I got the approval letter Saturday morning, saying that my medical retirement had been approved. I called the retirement system this morning and got confirmation. As of right now, I AM retired.
A strange thing JUST happened. As I was typing this, a representative from my former employer's Human Resources Department called me to let me know that as of December 9th, 2022, I was no longer employed, that I was Officially Retired. I have been a FREE MAN for 10 days and didn't realize it. The feeling is indescribable, but Oh, So good!
Im the MAN:xyxthumbs:
Now for the wife's surprise.
I was taking her to get her license and plates renewed, when out of the blue, she tells me that since I am retired (we didn't know the exact date yet), we really don't need TWO cars ...
Then she tells me that she thinks it would be best if I GARAGED the Camaro in the winters, so I could fix it and it would last longer for me. After all, she doesn't drive much and if we go anywhere, we take her car. So I can just use the Camaro as a summer-fun car ... I NEVER expected that.
:wowwow:
