What did you do today, in regards to detailing?

It seems like a lot of people go directly from FCC to PC

I get the sense that CC could be seen as a one step

I am really anxious to get the 4Runner in and play around

It hasn't been paint corrected in over a decade

I am anxious to try my Autofiber Holey Clay Towel out as well

My daughter hurt her ankle so they didn't bring their RAV4 over for a wash seal clay so I haven't tried the clay towel yet
 
RW wash for the FJ today, it wasn't very dirty. Went over it with Ech2o, even the trim and wheels, but not the wheel wells. Used my work platform for the first time in a while, I should really stop storing stuff on it, it's much more efficient than my plastic tub. Finished off the glass with Garage Therapy One Glass. No dressing on the tyres.

Would like to hear your opinion on this and if there are any differences between the Holey towel and others
By the way Amazon has it on Black Friday special for $14.00.

Hey Bosko, glad you found your way back

If that new AIO has more cut than their other Green Bottle Ceramic AIO Wax I would buy it and try it

I have complained on here before about how weak I feel the correcting capability of their Ceramic AIO Wax is, and the fact that they list in in with their Waxes and not Polishes makes me feel vindicated in my thoughts

My experience is it is more of a glaze with lots of fillers and little correction

I have been looking at an alternative to 3D Speed for a while and was about ready to pull the trigger on the latest Rupes Uno Advanced but I can certainly wait until March to see how this new product shapes up

I had planned on pulling the car out and putting the 4Runner in after the housekeeper leaves today and working on it tomorrow

Ya.....I'm done with Griots cremes....I threw away the AIO as well as FCC and they were water and slung all over the place.
I thought they went bad, but I'm hearing it more and more that is the way it is...
No consistency or longevity in their cremes...

Since I am new to Griot's BOSS Creams I can't speak to long term consistency but yeah, the FCC is really thin

I went ahead and sent Griot's a reply to their last message regarding the PC consistency issue and included a link to my post above

Waiting to hear back

I doubt they are thrilled with what I posted

Is there garage space that comes with that? I'm assuming the cows aren't using it...but maybe they got rid of their storage unit..

Who is the comedian who had the bit about that, Jake Johannsen? About yelling "moo" out the window while driving past cows on the side of the road, and one of the cows saying to the other "was that a cow driving that car? how can he afford that?" Maybe it was Garry Shandling, RIP. Yeah, I think that's who it was.
 
This thing is gigantic.

Day one was just prep but so far the inflatable paint booth is very fun

The sand bag recommendation was a great tip too

Today went too smooth so I had to in one knife mishap at the end 🫣

They have a foundation in next door, they actually did about half a dozen in this development before winter set in and they said they will probably start framing on this one after New Years

It is a 2 1/2 car (they call it a 3 car) garage just like mine so about 750 sq ft of garage, and the house is a 3 bedroom 2 bath and is 1444 sq ft, so the garage is more than half the size of the house

I was talking to the head sales guy that we dealt with and they scaled back last year after interest rates got so high and custom house starts dropped dramatically

They decided to build smaller "starter" spec houses between 1,300 and 1,500 sq ft and 2 car (1 1/2 car) garages and they quickly found out people didn't give a darn if they had to live in a 1,300 sq ft crackerbox but they absolutely wanted the 3 car garages so they had to go back to the drawing board

I bet 75% of the houses here have their cars in the driveway and use their garages for toys and storage
