what's the last car care/detailing video you've just watched?

I'd like to think there's other chems in Bilt-Hamber Touchless and Auto-foam to be effective AND safe...maybe

It just seems like marketing when you supposedly apply a durable coating but then have to use additional products to actually achieve marketing expectations.. One might as well just use a lower priced product and apply often for similar amount of effort in the end.

There's probably some truth to that but I don't always use a drying aid when washing, especially right now but the self cleaning of my ADS Quartz Coating is incredible

I believe I have pointed this out before, I've been on detailing forums for over 20 years now, and although everything has changed, nothing has changed.

A spray product that can survive 1,000 washes? 🤔

I watched the video. It appears to be a “ceramic coat lite”. Just wondering what the advantage would be? Guess its a little less expensive but doesn’t offer the durability of a full blown coating.
Seeing as one would most likely do all the pre application prep i would imagine most would prefer a longer lasting coating.

This product outlasted a few other full blown coatings in his testing such as gyeon pure evo and ads quartz. Definitely not the end all be all of durability testing just another data point.

I used Quick Body once and while it looked good the hydrophobics were exceedingly mediocre. I think it may have also reacted poorly with the 22PLE HPC coating I had applied a few months prior. A few months later, after a pretty mild Upstate NY winter, the coating was severely degraded. Whether it was the salt or Quick Body I'll never know as both performed so poorly I'm never using them again.

Those are the 1st and 2nd coating I've had on my EN and without watching the video I'm not sure how a spray could be better than ADS Quartz Coating

It just lasted longer according to his wash test, certainly not the end all be all. It got docked points in other areas such as filling/enriching the paint. Just another spray coating type product amongst many others.

I’m not one to tout brands. I never adhere to one as some company’s make great and bad products.

I’ve heard nothing but good things about this coating and I think all success you have with toppers is this coating shining through.

I think topping for guys like us, even if they don’t work, is going to still happen. I don’t think I could apply a coating and just wash it. I know you can’t

Yeah I care about my coating, it's why I use toppers and even wax but not this time, come spring it will get a good decon wash and an application of ADS Phobics...super topper

Ended up watching a few GTechniq videos but this one had me wondering about all of the ceramic washes and spray and rinse sealants. From the video it seems as if these products only add gloss and hydrophobics but no real protection. I decided to dig a little deeper and asked the chief chemist/owner of Ceramic Coating Inc. about these products and he confirmed that there’s no protection and just water beading. This kind of fits in line with what @Eldorado2 found when he looked at the SDS of Quick Beads in his discussion with Yvan on Utoob.

Well, that's disappointing, but I guess if they are giving you beading, then that helps with some "self cleaning" action?
