What did you do today, in regards to detailing?

I needed to do something, it was the Qashqai wheels and tyres or nothing, the weather is so good here at the moment nothing else needed doing, sorry to boast. I decided to go with TWHS Ceramic 3 in 1 Detailer, I forgot it's also a waterless wash. Front wheels are the worst of course, and the passenger side tyres had no dressing left at all, so I went with Carpro Perl again.

Rear drivers, I hate how the passenger side tyres look they've had the sidewalls sanded

The old gutter rubber, at least it's not the alloys!

My Dad does the front left all the time i recon his wheel alignment is at 1 o'clock

Wet roads yesterday morning, thus ran the EN through the touch-free wash this morning...sprinkles started right as I pulled into work this morning

Washed the BRZ by hand last night for the first time since October. Repeated snow storms and tons of salt had it a bit crusty so I gave it a good foam bath before going after it with a traditional bucket wash. I ended up drying the thing in the dark, but it looks so much better and made for a very theraputic way to end my day.

On average, how many times a month do you wash your car? I'm beginning to think you need an intervention.

It's 1/2 mile from work, too easy, plus I need the code to pop as there's a proper fix for it, a win win for me

Notice how Roger didn't answer the question....... addicts always find an excuse.

Oh I will just swing by before work to wash my car.. oh the auto washer missed a spot, I'll just swing by again for another wash real quick to fix it..
Lets see if my tire dressing is still beading.. oh I need to have a 'code' pop for the dealership..

Roger tells his GF he's gonna take the trash out.. meanwhile his garbage can looks like this: Screenshot_20250226_122304_Chrome.jpg

It's okay buddy. We are here for you. I'm just thankful they only let you in there once a day.

Hand applied APP to the area under where the fender flares of the bronco go and then applied DIY 8 year coating so I can put the flares back on while I wait for the pad to do the rest of the paint.

Mum's 2016 VW Amarok did the interior Monday and finished off the rest yesterday.

Koch Chemie Pss on plastics
Vonixx Native on paint work
Bowden's Own tyre dressing

I’m in the process of detailing a Ram Promaster stealth camper van and got some great results on the 1st thing on the list, restoring the exterior plastic trim.

1st round was some Meguiars D101 APC & scrub brush.
2nd round APC & Magic Eraser and this is what it looked like once it dried, not bad.

And this is after applying Meguiars Hyper Dressing. Now it pops.

Yup, I generally knew about that method, but specifically picked that tip up by researching these Ram Promasters in the past couple of days.

Except the guy who recommended it specifically said to use Spray 9 Marine APC and not the regular Spray 9 with a Magic Eraser.
I looked into that marine spray 9 but didn’t feel like waiting an extra day and buying another product for the shelf, so I figured I’d give the Megs a shot and only if it failed miserably would I then strongly consider ordering that Marine Spray 9.

I will say that the 2nd step of the Magic Eraser w/the Megs APC is where the magic happened as far as the cleaning. The APC & brush cleaned it, but the 2nd combination transformed & restored the plastic to nearly brand new condition.

Part one of hopefully two today, polished the glass with Griots G9, an opt microfiber cutting pad*, and Meg’s D300. Wiped down with ADS Panel prep before I had to take a break. Plan to go out in an hour or so and do the ADS Glass coating. If I can’t I repeat the panel prep step.

First time I used the pad and by the end the mf was 2/3 off the backing foam. Took it out if the original baggy before using. Trash it goes.

Was that a new one, or an old one? I had several of the early OPT microfiber pads, back 15-ish years ago, and the velcro wasn't very good on those.

Probably early. Iirc I got it shortly after they came out. Didn’t have a need to use it until today so it’s sat in it’s package.
