Matte, low gloss tire dressing?

Actually 1Z Cockpit Premium would be a better choice for the interior.

We spoke with Einszett about this as I often suggest Cockpit Premium and love the natural fresh clean look. You can also use the vinyl/rubber protectant and it will afford more UV protection and more of a matte dressed look. Kinda like 303 actually ....

But as Dana offered above, most Vette owners prefer the Cockpit Premium.

I enthusiastically recommend two products to you:

Mother's Reflections Tire Care
Tropi-Care White Pearl Tire Dressing

Both give a matte, low gloss finish. Both leave the tires looking black and new. I have not experienced sling with either product.

I just tried my neighbors 303 on the tires, I really like it! :dblthumb2:

If you really want low gloss, use a black dye like Forever Black to make your tires jet black and flat as a surf board. I have used my 303 Protectant on tires but it doesn't last long at all... Definately reserved for the interior now that I have switched to Opti-Bond.

How does opti-bond compare to 303 on the tires as far as gloss/sheen? I clean/scrub my tires with a brush every saturday, and re-apply, so I don't need something that last really long!

Opti-bond is a bit more glossy than 303, but that means it is still not glossy at all. It is a satin look but Opti-bond makes the tires look much deeper in color when compared to 303. I bottom line; Opti-bond is much better suited to dressing tires than 303 in my opinion, and leaves a better finish.

303 was my favorite until I tried Opti Bond. I agree with Christian.. Opti Bond looks better to me and is easier to apply since it is a gel. It is also great on wheel wells. I use AG microfiber gloves to apply to the wells on my XLR which has tight wheel wells si

If you have tight wheel wells, cut Meg's Hyper Dressinhg 4/1 put it in a small pump sprayer, cheaper, easier, and better.

Thanks for the advice Rsurfer, I used to use Megs Endurance on the wheel wells just for the durability but I've been getting lazy about taking the wheel off so I will give this a try!

Looking at the 303 more and more on the tires, it still has a bit too much sheen for my taste! Maybe I should try poorboys natural look?

Just posted a review of Wolfgang Black Diamond Tire Gel with lots of before and after pictures...

Remember though, alot of what determines the look of any dressing is how you apply it. This is Megs Endurance which is a conventionally glossy gel that I buffed to a deep matte finish:

For what it's worth. I received some System One Licorice Black from here as a free sample and all the ladies where my wife works refer to her tires as "simply handsome".

I consistently use Opti-Bond, you can also tone down the shine by diluting it with distilled or tap water into a spray form and that has really worked well for me.

Optimum sells a tire shine spray. Wouldn't that be the same thing?

Wolfgang Tire Gel, 1 Coat for new looking tires, 2 coats for and unbelievable shine

2 advantages to buying it in bottle(Gel) you can control the amount of shine that you want and more bang for the buck verses spray....1 bottle has done I dont know how many tires and still have a 1/4 of the bottle remaining.
