Shamrocks Don't Rock

Thanks for the clarification Dalton. I am glad that you have not been afflicted by the curse of the leprechaun (green dandruff). Would I be safe in assuming then that even though you love the shamrocks you would buy the Supreme 530's?
That is a safe assumption sir. :xyxthumbs:

Like Mike just said above and LDJaxon said earlier - the 2 sides are a different nap. That makes them versatile. Plus they are very thick, and I like the size of them. In fact, I am adding some of them to my cart today to order, along with some glass towels and possibly the arctic whites, although I don't know that I need them - just want to try them.

I rest my case. I think I will go with your recommendation of the 530's.
Thanks Dalton and you can call me Stu

I have experienced no linting with the Supremes (Grey) or the Jrs (purples) but some light linting with the original Shamrocks (no borders). I noticed the same thing with Zaino's new towel and so did other forum members. I also noticed it with the Sasquash from another vendor. It seems like softness is great, but getting too thick might be the issue.

I will say using the dedicated MF cleaner and those blue dryer balls seem to help control it.

I am certain it will be discussed with the manufacturer and the original comments on the border issue was resolved quickly with the Shamrock II.

My shamrocks are the ones without the border I use m/f cleaner and I have blue balls and I still have green lint and dust everywhere. I to have had no problems with the purple Jr's or any other m/f towels that I own.

Your Shamrocks do not have a black border on them??

I'm not sure about Stu, but mine are the pre-boarder version. I bought 6 of them for a chunk of change a few months ago and rarely use them as a result of this lint issue unfortunately. They are great drying towels but its such a bummer that I can't use them for anything else when they are so plush and soft.

Anyone experienced this issue with the Shamrocks that have a black border on them??? This shed issue was solved with Shamrock verion II? Feed back please

I bought a Samrock 2 weeks ago, I used it once, washed it and didn't use it since. I'm afraid now! :(

There really is no need to be afraid of it. Just wipe the stuff off with a 2nd mf towel. Tis what I do.

I've not noticed any shedding with the newer ones that have the border...but I only use them for ONR washing. :D

For wax/polish removal I still prefere the Meguiars Supreme Shine towels...at a fraction of the cost of other MF towels, it just makes sense to me.

No black borders just one color
I'm sure AG would exchange those for the newer ones if you ask. Some people are still mentioning linting, but it seems the majority of us don't have that problem with the newer black bordered Shamrocks.

I would give it a shot if I were you... It would be a shame to have the Shamrocks leave a sour taste in your mouth, if the new version could solve your problems.

Did I mention that I love the new Shamrocks? I too found myself bragging about these new towels that I ordered, and explaining how awesome they are; to people who have no interest in detailing.... They looked at me like I had 3 heads.Im the MAN

I have a handful each of Shamrock Green boarder (Gb) and Black boarder (Bb). I've only used one of the Gb's once, to remove Fusion. I didn't notice any linting and loved the towel. I keep each of them folded in unsealed Ziplock's then in vacuum storage bags hoarded for future use. I'm like Gollum from Lord of the Rings with my precious Shamrocks. I have other plush MF's to use in the mean time. Now I'm afraid to use them, not because I think they are the greatest thing in the universe, but because of the linting problem.

I will absolutely be giving these towels a real test run, most likely today. Maybe use one of each version for a few different processes. Like an ONR wash, Wax removal and FK 425 or Dodo Red Moose. I truly hope that they do not have any linting problems. We'll find out.

:awman: MYYY PRECIOUSSSS!!!!!

Ok well it appears unclestu needs some newer version Shamrocks, you have the old ones, so contact me via PM with your shipping info. Thanks.

What's considered the newer version? I just received some with the black band about a month ago. They shed the same as the older version with no black band.

I got a couple of shamrocks a few weeks ago during the BOGO, and mine shed lint too (they have a black border). I talked to Dwayne and he said it should clear up after 2 or 3 washes. Well, it hasn't. It's especially bad when I'm quick detailing my windows or plastic trim. Don't like them and they are ridiculously expensive. $10 each???

I think they need to stop selling these until they can figure out the problem. This whole thing about you need new ones or the problem will go away after washing a few times has been proven false in this thread.
