They are superb! I only used the compound on one fender. The polish did the trick everywhere else. No dusting and SMAT. Brilliant IMO! Im done with M105/205 and the Menzerna Twins!
Topped with UPGP. This was on my XLR which has the same hard as hell Clearcoat. The Ford has ceramic clear so that will be an even bigger challenge! This should be every beginners polish & compound IMO!

What type of buffer and pad combination did you use? I'm waiting for more information about this product before I make a purchase. Feed back please

Griots with LC 5.5" Hydrotech Tangerine pads. I didnt need to go to a finishing pad as I originally thought I would.

Thanks, my current pads are L.C. Kompressor pads with PC7424 & a Flex 3401. I'm using Pinnacle XMT products.

Give your XMT away except for maybe 360 and get Optimum Spray.

I love the Optimum Spray Polish. It feels like I use less of this product than I do others and get great results. My next order will be the Spray compound. I've used them with the Griots DA and have had great results.

I used them with a PC and LC flat pads and had excellent results. Highly recommended purchases. Not ready to give up my 105/205 though!

You're dealing with a hard clearcoat as you stated. Not sure if you work on other cars, but once you run into a soft clearcoat, optimum sprays will not finish as well. They were designed with hard clearcoats in mind. Also, HC uses 100% SMAT. HP uses SMAT and DAT. :xyxthumbs: Dr. G is a genius.

Great advice Mark, I only do my 2

So, a sprayable finishing polish and/or a sprayable AIO would be cool for softer paints, you say?;)

I have heard a Finishing Spray Wax is next. Honestly as good as the Hyper Polish finished on the XLR Im not sure I need it, but thats never stopped me before!

Now that's saying something my friend!

M105/205 and the Menzerna twins have been the only polishes/compounds that I have used in the last three years.

As much as I love Optimum products, I have never tried any of their polishes/compounds....but as I said in another thread, that's going to change before long.

Thats what I like to hear.
I have a pristine 2001 TA WS6 (Black) with 9K miles, that's going to be my winter project.
Now it's 80% corrected,i'm shooting for 95%-99% correction as there are NO deep scratches on it.I will be using my Flex XC with HT 6.5" pads and my PCXP with HT 4" pads and a mini-rotary (electric drill).
I ordered pretty much the whole Optimum line offering here on AG (including both Hyper spray twins) and $200+ in new HT pads to give a good go at it.
My AG shippment should arrive this Friday and i'm super excited to try them thru the winter!
