I'm not sure what you trying to accomplish with your reply.
If you are able to grasp the concept of "up to" then there is no contradiction in my post.
Is OPT Car wax a maintenence product or could it be used as a LSP?
What am I trying to accomplish? I know what you're trying to accomplish. All I did was tell the truth.
For some reason, you are unable to grasp the concept that this product does not last up to 5 months. What do you mean by "up to"? When you say up to, do you mean 4 months? Do you mean 3 months? In my previous posts, I stated that the longevity of this product is around 6-8 weeks. I also stated that the car in which I used this product on is garaged 24-7. As I stated, the conditions in which this product was used, was favorable for longevity, meaning that in less favorable conditions, longevity will be less.
When you say "up to 5 months", that could be anywhere from 1 week, to 5 months. 6-8 weeks is nowhere near 5 months. At this point, I consider this dishonest and fraudulent. I am done with Optimum, this thread and with you.
Great way to gain customer loyalty :xyxthumbs:

Optimum achieved 5 months on some panels during development. The claim is "up to 5 months." Results will vary with climate, wash intervals, products and technique, etc. That said, it's very easy to use and apply so why not do it monthly as it only takes 10-15 minutes? When 5+ month durability is required, try 2 layers of OOS topped with OCW or just have OptiCoat applied.

:iagree: I just purchased the Optimum wax/ONR, because of the results that I've been receiving from Optimum Gloss Detailer....
I guess I need to "bump" this thread..got a question..
will OCW give protection to rain (drizzle or hard rain)?
Because it's raining season now in the Philippines, (still, it's supposed to be summer right now!), so yeah, how about tree sap and bird poo?
I'm planning to use this as a LSP over a coat of liquid wax, QD spray wax, then OCW.
What do you think?
Or should I change the set, liquid wax, OCW, then QD spray wax?

wow, no need to get at chris like that he made perfect sense. Sounds like your having personal issues at home and your bringing them on here which is annoying... OPT makes great products, "UP TO" meaning "BEST CASE SCENARIO" and like he said if you want longer protection why not opti coat or opti seal? and if you dont like OCW then STOP USING IT AND GET SOMETHING YOU DO LIKE!!
Chris, your help is always greatly appreciated here and you are very informative! dont let this one idiot ruin it for all of us. Thanks alot chris!
I currently have no sealants, only these wax, I'm on a low budget since Im a college student haha.
