Drywash - A day in the life of B & B Tennessee

Thanks B&B now I went and bought some of that "Product" that you use and cant wait to use it. Hope I can replicate some of your results

got my first paying customer and gonna use this
 
Hes actually a buddys family member and didnt want nothing fancy. Its his DD truck so this is in my list to do:

-Vacuum interior
-Wipedown interior with Quick Interior Detailer
-Drywash per your post inspiring me (doorjams included) ;)
- AIO

What do you think? I charged him $50 and let him know what I was doing and he was stoked. Any suggestions or additions you might think I should do. I want to get good at this and do this as kinda a side job for some days.
 
Oh forgot to mention I am also doing his tires and rims

Cool man - Sounds good...... I normally charge anywhere from $85 to $125 for this service, although I do hook it up many times cause it really doesn't take me too long at all! You will need a degreaser and/or APC for the wheel wells, tires and some tough road grime. The drywash cleans well.... but it doesn't get everything off. Plus for the rims (if non painted) - grab some 91% Isopropal Alcohol to do a final spray on them - brightens them up quite a bit! Also, make sure you have at least 15 MFs - and utilize all 8 sides of them..... always use different MFs for each product, never mix and match (during job). What else?!?!??! ALWAYS shake out the MF before using - and NEVER us a MF if you drop it on the ground!!! Thanks for the advice. I really appreciate it and might take you up on the phone call. My hope is to do a good job so that he tells friends and such and then I can charge the $80-$100 that I know something like this will deserve

This was just a one stage by the way - only used compound and wool pad for the old lettering.... then polished over it. This took myself and Joel 5 hours to knock out! First time I have ever gotten anyone else to polish - but this guy is a fast learner (plus I gave him the DA lol).:xyxthumbs:

Preciate it man - but he will only be around for a few months it looks like..... he moved to Nashville for music, and from his demeanor and contacts, it looks like he'll make it sooner than later. Great worker..... but would also love to see someone live their dream! :dblthumb2:

Also hired a lady that worked at a "detail" shop for 5 years - yep, let her go after day 1!!! No experience is much better than "supposed" experience

I had to go look lol -

I use Viper Turbo Speed Wax (because I can put a spray nozzle on it, for ease)

and/or An Ardex Ultra High Gloss Cleaner

The paint on buses is VERY hard - every bus is different that I touch and I always test a panel out with different systems before proceeding.... sometimes it accepts one but not the other. It is always super hard for me to do a one step - cause I know how much better it can look if I go to town on it..... but I also don't want to spend 50 hours on a bus either and make 8 dollars an hour after product, taxes and so on.... if they want a one step - thats what I give them.... they have always been happy :dblthumb2:

Todays pics...... It was gloomy out - wish the sun was out for pics but oh well. This started out as a paint correction then I got a call and the lady needed the car way sooner than expected, so a few panels are going to look great in the sun lol! But the rest was done with Drywash method - still turned out great..... will finish the correction next week - she was still happy even though I would have been able to finish it - I wasn't happy cause I went through the last of my tape prepping :( Anyhow..... here ya go......
