Tried the MF system for the first time today...

Sure, not a problem. I will surely be using it more. I actually want to use it on my own vehicle to see how this wax stands up. But...we all know how often we do our own car, ha. So most likely I'll be doing more customers.

In fact, I've got a couple full corrections coming up that would be perfect. I'll try to snap photos, but it's been more than tough getting the work done, nevermind photos, ha. I'll try though...at least after shots. I'll keep ya posted buddy.

I think the real point here that should be made is...the "system" will achieve the results that it advertises but it does have a learning curve. If it is your first time..you need to wait..do several applications and then you will see it does become a "process" and with repeated results. I will agree though that a slight haze does become apparent when you don't finish it down enough. i think this is where a finishing polish excels at enhancing the finish.
 
I will say that the MF compound and cutting disc left behind a good amount of haze on a newly re-painted Civic. I know the system is geared for OEM paint. I wonder how t would do on OEM soft paint? I know for a fact the compound and cutting disc finished great on OEM hard paint.

Um, there are many people using this system on customers cars and not just their own.

I will be using it again this weekend on a black Evo, all OEM paint.

I understand that. But i was just wanting his opinion bc i detail cars everyday of the week and looking for help from somebody in my shoes. not saying that the info i would get from someone that only dose there cars or family cars wouldn't be as helpful just looking for feedback from somebody that uses the system weekly like i would.

Quick update. I had an old Mercedes come in today, and the customer only wanted a 1-step polish. So, I figured I'd try the MF finishing disc with just the Finish Wax.

I figured the worst that could happen is that it may actually do some correction in the process. If not, the customer wasn't too concerned about the paint as long as it was waxed.

So, as for going straight to the finish wax using just the finishing pad...I wasn't too impressed. I think it did it's job by polishing and waxing at the same time. But if the customer wasn't so laid back, I would have re-done this job with a white foam pad and 205 instead, then waxed.

I know this isn't how you're supposed to use the system. I wasn't expecting crazy results. Was just curious I guess, ha. :dblthumb2:

thanks for the update i was kinda wondering the same thing bc there seems to be alot of ppl in LA that just want a quick 1-step wax (thinking it will make there car look better) than doing your more in depth paint correction (the right way to do it). Its just something i cant seem to do putting wax over paint that hasnt been claybared or swirls removed or anything. they say the customers always right but thats such BS but i just grit my teeth and do what they want lol

Yup, most my customers are happy with a high speed polish/wax with a good all in one product or glaze.

Basically every day is filled with about 3 AIO polishes. Then there's at least one correction in one way shape or form squeezed in there. I like that cause I can focus on the correction, and have my guys do the quick in and out packages. :dblthumb2:

Well, it's not an AG product. But I use Malco Glaze II. I've used it for years and won't be without a backup gallon of that stuff, ha.

Thing I love about it, is that you can spread it on the whole vehicle, then just fly through it with ease on a foam finishing pad and my Makita. Works great. Sometimes I throw on the yellow medium cut pad for certain colors.

Not really experienced with most of this stuff and I'm still waiting on my MF DA System

Oh ok, ha. Yeah I've never tried it so I can't speak for it. But I know there are some people who really like it. But I've got my AIO product that I like. I don't venture out much when it comes to that cause I'm comfortable with what I've got. I may pick some up some day though and test it out. I'll try anything!
