I worked on a black tahoe that had been re-painted. The paint was very soft. For my first step, I used D151 with a polishing pad, G110v2, speed 5, and even this LIGHT combo left considerable hazing/marring!!! I never really liked using 85rd because you have to break it down and all that noise, and M205, which you don't have to break down, doesn't finish well on soft paint for the most part. In comes SONAX NANOTECHNOLOGY PAINT CLEANER POLISH!!!! I used it with my G110v2 and a finishing pad, speed 4, moderate pressure for the first couple passes then lightened up, and wallah, it finished great!!! Best thing about this polish is you don't have to break it down!! I say you give it a try!!!

P.S. I tried to take pics, but my camera skills are horrible! :(

same results here ,used it on a vw bug.goin to use it next weekend on a soft honda.

Mark,
Did you ever give us an update on that G110v2? If so, I must have missed it.

I am a catholic....can i reply to this post?

please advise...thanks!

The definition says it fills with nano particles and this can mask the holograms hugely. Have you stripped the fillers for inspection?

Sonax paint cleaner is one of the best kept secrets in this business. Read Todd's review on the DI ...detailed image web site. If you have a black car or work on soft paint, this is a must have product.

I can't find the cleaner in local rep's list but have those #1, #2 and #3 waxes instead. So which AIO do you think this cleaner matches in cleaning and correction would you say?

I like 205 and 85rd better than Sonax as the products will jewel better .... Maybe the oils used. When I used Sonax I found that I had to go at higher speeds (1300-1500) vs 1000 on the other two ... Granted this is with a rotary and finishing pad and this process took about 30 minutes longer than with s DA due to the extra jeweling process

The Sonax Nano Paint Cleaner is sold as "SONAX Xtreme Polish & wax 3 NanoPro" in some markets.
It is an AIO which uses fine abbrasives to polish as well as leaving behind a thin layer of nano carnauba wax.
You may take a look at Sonax official web site:
SONAX Xtreme Polish & wax 3 NanoPro :: Xtreme Series :: Products :: Car Care - SONAX - cleaning and polishing like a professional

The Nano Wax 1 is one of the most durable sealant that I have ever used/reviewed. Lasted me over 5 months and still going on strong with no sign of degrading in beading today.

I think you'd have just as much love for amigo...

Tim, does Amigo leave protection behind?

M205 and 85rd are meant to be used with a rotary, I don't think SNPC is?

Mark, do you feel that Griot's polish #3 also leaves marring? I believe that it was designed for the DA. I have Menz 85rd and it gives a great glow but, like you said, it really needs to be worked with a DA, which is all I have.

I don't think there is much if any protection left behind. The surface was slick but I still put a coat of fuzion on top of it

That's it for me until winter prep methinks...

Upon reading the description of this product. It appears to have fillers...which may be why the outcome appears so good. Not saying anything about the product, but obviously a filler product will appear to give better results, but in reality it's masking things as I'm sure you know already.

Have you tried stripping it down and checking it out??

Yes, I did. Still looked great!

I've never tried Griot's #3. ;)
