Optimum MF Polish Pad & Hyper Polish

Charlie, I don't want to jump the gun but if the cutting disc/Hyper Compound perform like the polishing disc/Hyper Polish combo, then I would say yes. However, the combo I used was spectacular - Meg's D300/cutting disc, Optimum hyper polish/polishing disc. Can I send pictures to your phone or would you prefer email?

Dude! I would say that less polish would have been used had I had the proper sprayer. It's unreal how well this stuff performs! I did a test spot with the HC with the Meg's cutting disc but I'm going to wait until I have the Optimum cutting disc...
 
I just ordered the Opt pads and Hyper Spray and Hyper Compound. They should be here in a few days. Is there a new formula I should have held out for or are the current ones good to go?

Ed, I used the new formula over the weekend and have not used the old formula. I honestly don't know the difference? Hopefully you didn't order too much.

Give me a little while, have to investigate a few things at work.
 
The updated formulas won't have the new formula stickers as it was just a tweak and not an overhaul. All products bought direct are updated and AG should rotate the new stuff in soon.
 
Can you use the MF pad and HP with a DA and achieve the same results as a rotary?
 
Rotary is still superior in skilled hands but this definitely narrows the gap.
 
Just to confirm, Optimum only has the one MF polishing pad, correct? They don't have a cutting and a polishing like Meguiar's? The Optimum MF pad is chemical dependent?
 
they have cutting and polishing pads. Even their own backing plates.

They were made to go with the hyper compound and polish but you can use the other optimum compounds and finishing polishes with them too if you want.

All will be available after SEMA

It's sprays nicely with a regular sprayer. Not a fine mist, but it works just fine. HP is one fine polish!!! :righton:

I haven't really used HC too much as I haven't really needed to. I'm looking forward to trying it with the OPT MF cutting pads, too.
 
Mark, you're killing me man! Hyper compound/polish spray's are what I really wanted to try before I bought all that other stuff. No one had it at the price point I wanted at the time. One place had it super cheap, but have been out of it for quite awhile now.

I've got to do another car before I can purchase any. You are referring to the sprays aren't you?

I have 8 ounces of M105 left, about 16 ounces of M205, and close to 1/2 gallon of D300. Such a shame that I need to order stuff. :D

I'll be at work until at least 9pm tonight, after that I will work on adding a couple pictures to this thread. Once I get the video uploaded to YouTube I'll post a mini review.

LOL, sorry! Anyhow, you would have bought the old formula, and you don't want that! The new sprays are much improved(not that the first generation was bad). So, it's better that you didn't buy the old formula. :dblthumb2:

I'm not the type that has to use up what I already have(may not be a positive). I will buy a product no matter what, if it gives me better and more efficient results = OPT spray polishes.

I have quite a few things on hand that I don't use so you're not alone. Better and more efficient results = 2oz. of polish and 1-2 pads for a whole car = Optimum :D :dblthumb2:
 
Are the spray compound and polish being sold here right now the 'new' formula? I was assuming earlier in this thread that it was the old stuff (especially given it is on sale now,) but later posts made me think that might not be the case.

AG does not have the new formula yet. You can buy the new formula directly from OPT.
