Not sure about Duragloss #501?

Take a look at the pads below used on a 2011 Audi A4:

This shows a new pad next to a pad used on 1/2 of the car, the little bit of green is DG 501

Keep in mind that no trim was bumped anywhere. The car received a round of Iron X then a pre-soak of Optimum Power Clean @ 3:1, followed by a 4oz/3gal bath of CG CWG, finally being clayed before using DG #501 to deep clean the paint.

Yes. They are nano diminishing abrasives. Duragloss has been using nano products before nano became the "it" word. :) I worked at speed 3.5 and only the weight of the machine using my Griot's Garage ROP with no intention of correction, just deep cleaning the paint before DG 601/105 x2 for winter prep.

*By products I mean the items used in their polishes

Richard, you are the one using DG501as a stand alone LSP, aren't you? How much product do you apply on the pad before working a section? How big (or small) is your section? How many passes do you make per section? I only used it once. It really cleans well and leaves a slick surface, but I can adjust on my methods next time that I am throwing these questions. :D
 
Duragloss has both abrasives and strong cleaners. It is my favorite AIO and it lasts a long time.

Many here rave about the performance of Duragloss 501 and after looking at that photo I have to completely agree, the finish looks bright and wet!! :props:

I think it's time to order some of this and give it a test drive, I'm sure I'll be pleased with the results!!:props:

save those 2 white pads for DG501 only, it is very hard to clean it off.
 
Are we talking about 501 or 105? Isn't 501 for boats?

Yeah, so? :p It's got more cleaners than the car polishes, works great. When people started using this on the forums it was because they had called DG and asked about the products and 501 came up when discussing the line and differences between the products.
 
Which product are you referring to when you say "501". I searched AG and came u[p with a duragloss marine product.
 
DG #501 took the place of Klasse AIO (all AIO's for that matter) some years ago for me. Even after clay my white pads look about like that. #501 makes my white pearl paint come alive in the sunlight with deep reflections you're not accustomed to seeing on white. I agree with dedicating those pads strictly for #501, after cleaning them of course. Very nice look on that paint.

I'll pass on a tip for cleaning your pads with either 501 or the Swirl Remover which is an even stronger cleaner than 501 is. Soak them in solvent overnight. That will clean them.

Good job Richard. We have been preaching about this product for a few years. Wait till Sparkie sees this...I think he's been using it longer than any of us!!

Yes, get over the fact it has "marine" on the label. My goodness, if it's strong enough to be submersed in water 24/7, how do you think it'll perform on the odd rain shower???
