my white pads will look like that after using KAIO following wash, clay and iron x
the difference is in the protection. KAIO leaves behind much less than DG501.
My theory is that since KAIO is the base for KSG, it can't be as bulletproof as a true lsp or the KSG won't stick to it.
Here is my dirty white pad after KAIO during my winter prep a couple weeks ago:
Here are some pics from iron x testing I did this summer. upper right panel just had KAIO applied by hand, lower right panel was clayed, then DG501 applied by hand.
this is a pic of the panels after iron x was applied, allowed to dwell, agitated, then rinsed off. You can see the beading on the square where the DG501 was applied. The KAIO square had no beading which tells me that the protection it laid down was stripped by the iron x.
