The most over-rated products?

I really like 205. I got decent correction on my car using it as a light polish before apply opti coat.

105 however, I HATE! It works well but its to hard to remove. I know members here have posted strategies for making removal easier, but imo, it shouldnt be necessary.

With ultimate compound, if I apply too much, its easy to remove, if I apply too little, its easy to remove. Same cannot be said about 105.

Sonax Full Effect
Iron X (Spray)
Fuzion - Sorry, but for the price - it is.
Cobra Microfibers

Almost all Wolfgang and xmt products. Collinite 845. And for god sakes 205!!!!

Are you talking about meguiars 205? I actually like m205 VERY much. Works REALLY well!

And that is m205 with tangerine hydrotech!

Yup. Never said it doesn't work but there are a lot better polishes then m205. It's just praised too much on here. Too long for product to break down and a little dusty for a finishing polish.

M205 is smat so it doesn't actually break down at least not like a dat polish.

Agfan, what is a better polish than M205? Just curious as the last Minivan photo was a knock-it-out-of-the-park for me...(post #24)

i hear 105/205/po85 is an excellent combo

Menzerna po85u and rd. cg v38. Wolfs wp-2n and wp-1n. Sv cleaner fluids. 3m ultrafina.

OK got the code for the Menzerna po85u, what's the rd. Yes Chemical Guys v38 (Understand that) but I am not sure what the wp-2n and 1n are.... Also SV?

In my opinion M205 is a great product, but I love Optimum Hyper Spray Polish even more.

I'm glad I'm not the only person that doesn't care for Collinite 845!

A little dusting, but nothing bad. I wash the car down after the polish anyways so no big deal. However, works superbly!

what are some of your go to polish combos?

Wolfs chemicals. Wp-2n and 1n are polishes they make. Weird names. Sv= swissvax cleaner fluids. They are actually polishes.

Menzerna po85u and rd. cg v38. Wolfs wp-2n and wp-1n. Sv cleaner fluids. 3m ultrafina.

Amen. Those are awesome. I want to try the Wolf's polishes next because I love their LSPs.

PO85U and PO85RD are both Menzerna finishing polishes. I have both and use both. PO85U is the original finishing polish by Menzerna...the original formula from back in the day.

The PO85U has more cut than the PO85RD.

PO85U has a cut 2.5 (on a scale of 5)
PO85RD has a cut of 1 (on a scale of 5)

PO85U has a shine of 4.5 (on a scale of 5)
PO85RD has a shine of 5 (on a scale of 5)

Both are excellent products. It's what you use to Jewel and finish hologram free on the softest paints.

Yeah nothing can touch these polishes. M205 isn't bad but nothing like people praise it to be.
