POLL: Keep the stripes or ditch em?

For me those stripes are just too busy and the text is on the door instead of the lower front fender. The original stripes totaled 3, wide in the middle and two thinner for a boarder....I'd remove them...:props:

Take a look.....1965 Shelby Mustang GT350 Riverside School Car For Sale

Yeah, I got plenty of votes to remove and that's where I was leaning towards anyways. They're already off as I'm typing this. They were fresh so they came right off in like 10 mins just using my fingernail. I like the clean look better but may apply a different stripe later on, similar to the GT350 one you posted.

I like those stripes...they're actually different from what I've been seeing on newer mustangs. As one person already stated, they compliment the wheels. I feel that if you get rid of them, the car is pretty plain looking. Keep them :props:!

You know what I have to say, heck, I think I started this thread indirectly, LOL! Someone posted about having them painted on, no way, down on the rocker panel they'd just get all chipped up, vinyl is the way to go if you do infact go with the GT350 look, well, w/o the GT350 that is.

Either way, THOSE stripes have gotta go, they look cheap and the car doesn't, period!

Keep them! It stays with the heritage. I have them on my 2008 Shelby.

Ditch. I don't know why Foed goes for the more understated look on the gt's, but decals up the V6's.

I say keep them if you plan on keeping those wheels. They look great together.

No decals would look really clean but I would change the wheels to a Silver, Gunmetal or Polished Aluminum.

It's your Mustang so you should really go by what you think looks best.

White is pretty dang plain without something to break it up, but I see you already took them off. Probably could find some nicer looking stripes in the future anyways.

I would have voted to keep them, look to plain without IHO

I say get rid of them. Nothing screams " I didn't man up and get the 5.0 like I should have" like the v6 stripe kit

Yeah, I'd would've removed them too. 99.9% people know it's a Mustang (had one girl ask if my car was a Ferrari, a horse is a horse of course)

Check out all the stripe options at American Muscle's site. A nice clean bold option is what they call the "C" stripe on the side. Or you could go with the always classy Lemans double Shelby type stripe up and over everything. Or no stripe and then accent some areas with a satin black like add a Black Billet type Fuel door and some side scoops and or side rear windows coops or louvers.

I think you did the right thing removing them. In my opinion they were too thin. Either go bolder or not at all.
