Why? The moronic dealer drilled holes into the front bumper for the license plate. I almost didn't buy the car for this reason, but frankly, I had zero other local '12 GT's to choose from. There were a couple out of state with CA emissions(it's a must to be able to register the car in CA) from the factory, but the dealers wanted to charge OUTRAGEOUS "dealer fees", and I still would have had to pay for shipping. Anyhow, I found a brand new OEM painted Ingot Silver bumper on ebay for relatively cheap. It's a "take off" bumper from either a Roush, Saleen, or Shelby GT that was "up-fitted" to their specs. It was a no brainer for me to do this as I did NOT want to have to re-paint anything on a new car. It was either buying the bumper, or living with the licence plate mounted.

I'm also awaiting the arrival of Steeda Ultralite springs, Koni shocks/struts, California special front splitter, and the FRPP GT500 axle back exhaust. Im the MAN :D  In the near future, I will add 20" Forgestar F14 wheels in gunmetal, and that should just about do it!

I would give them shipping instructions. For all you know it will be shipped loose in a cardboard box. Hate to have it get scratched.

This just happened to my fathers new 12 GT!! He brought it in for service and hey took it upon themselves(WITH NO WARING!!!) to drill a new license plate on the front! My father was PISSED! There needs to be a revolution against dealers!! It never ends! lol:rant:

I have the Steeda Ultralites and Konis on my 11 GT and the stance is SICK!!! Also I tried the GT500 mufflers first and they were still too quiet. I went with the Roush axlebacks and they sound AMAZING!!! I went with Concept One RS-55 wheels in 20 x 9 and 20 x 10 but decided to have then powdercoated gloss black and love the look with the Kona Blue

I know! And they play stupid, but they know what they did.. Slimballs:mad:

P.S. It's performance white.
Have your Dad make the dealership pay for one of these:

BigAl - I think the bumper plugs blend in really well with the design of some cars, but definitely not the Mustang.

2011 - Good to hear about the springs and how they look!! Is the GT500 exhaust even noticeably louder than stock? Honestly...

Did they put a dealership sticker / emblem on the paint too? I cringe every time I see one of those.

Plus I plan on putting in Long Tube Headers with a catted shorty X-Pipe and deleting the resonators and then adding a Steeda Ghost Cam / Performance tune. The Cam idle sounds sweet.

This is kind of what I am shooting for :) This has no cats on it, but the shorty x-pipe has high flow cats and deleting the resonators will be about the same.

Yeah Mark...I, too, hate those already drilled holes!!

Damn dude, that's LOUD, but sounds good!

I hear you on the holes in the bumper. That's why I'm special ordering my Camaro. It looks like as soon as it comes off the truck they drill holes into all the cars on the lot.

I can't wait to get started modding the car too. I already have wheels and lowering kit picked out.

In Illinois we're required to have a front license plate. I was actually pulled over one time for not having one. I envy those of you who don't have such a law.

I hated the Camaro SS. I was initially pulled in by the looks, but that gave way quickly, not to mention the performance. I returned mine recently during Chevy's "love it or return" promotion. The Camaro SS has been my least favorite car out of the past 4. It's bloated, slow, heavy, and bulky. The interior is hideous. I'm surprised Chevy sells as many as they do.

However, to each their own. :dblthumb2:

412 stock Horsepower and I can gain almost 75 with just headers, mid-pipe. CAI and tune. I can't wait to get a Whipple on it!!

Nice! Only thing I have done with my altima is a resonator delete and CAI. Makes it sounds just like my neighbors 370z now!
