OK, I wasn't aware of any re-direct. I just saw a worldwide map for installers.

And while we're at it, the early batches of 2.0 could never be worn off except by polishing. To me that would mean that the coating will last as long as I own the car. Now the life expectancy is 5 years and lifetime for the OCP.And while we're at it, the early batches of 2.0 were NOT layerable?

Hey Flash...zoom in on my area...I'm waving at you....and look, I'm even using ALL my fingers, hahahahahhaha:awesome:
Your website (company name) was actually the first one I browsed across :dblthumb2:
I'm coming up with nothing. C'mon Chad, quit holding out :nomore:
btw....everytime I see Minneapolis on the weather channel my heart goes out to you![]()
It was the Original version of Opti-Coat that was NOT layerable, but after it was updated to the same resin as Opti-Coat 2.0 it became layerable.
Sorry, looks like you have to be logged in to see it.
Thanks! I really hate this time of year not having a drain and running water.![]()

can it be layered with wax ?
You could, but you would only be wasting your wax, as it will be on your garage floor. J/K If you want the slick feel, you could use Optimum Car Wax.
The wax will do several things. It will alter the appearance somewhat (not a lot) and unfortunately, it will change the surface dynamics thereby temporarily losing the Lotus sheeting advantages that the coating offers. The coating will reject the wax in short order, so any appearance change will only be temporary. I personally top mine with ReLoad, Aqua Wax, UWW+ or FK425 as well as Permanon. I do that for the added slickness, not a change in appearance. The protection against swirls is going to be the coating (and how thick it is) as well as (and more importantly) how carefully you wash it. The best coating in the world can't protect against poor wash techniques....not implying you would...just saying.I have wanted to coat my car with for awhile
Now. I was just wondering if it would benefit the actual opti coat since it acts like a clear. Why not protect that from swirls and such like we do with our OEM clear. I'm just curious to see if wax will still have the nice visual finish if applied on.
Chris, I'm not really that up on the other coatings, so I'm not familiar with their consumer/pro differences. Are there any numbers available for how thick OG is, vs. a layer of OC 2.0? Are the subsequent layers of 2.0 the same thickness? Or does it lay out thinner or thicker when you layer it?
So you can layer either after it's full cure time? It was said that after curing, opti coat would not even bond to itself.
And while we're at it, the early batches of 2.0 were NOT layerable?
How is this going to work?
I was thinking of the portal for pro purchase, but that link redirects the regular store now so I didn't want to post it once I found it.
but you can expect from .5um to 2um from a single layer. For reference, this is about 100 times thicker than an application of wax and is much more durable.
The only online portal for Pro Coating purchases is the Buy Direct store attached to Optimum Forums. You cannot even see the products if you are not an Authorized Installer, though. It will appear as though there are no products available if you only have "member" status.
If it's truly permanent, that makes sense 100%.Chris@Optimum has said that layering OC is kind of a waste of time, that one coat is permanent, and how much more permanent can you get?
