I can find about a million posts about people saying that exact same thing when the 3401 came out. Not saying you are wrong, maybe the Bigfoot is the better machine.
Most of the people I know that actually use buffers on a daily basis still use the trusty old Makita because with enough skill and experience, it can correct faster and finish just as good or better than any DA. If you tell them about using a PC or a DA they would just laugh. Not saying DAs don't have their place, but it's all relative. You'd have to be mad to just sell off all your old equipment just because something new came out. Find something that works for you and stick with it. Some people like the rotary, some like a regular DA like the GG or PC, some like the Flex, and obviously now some prefer the Bigfoot. It doesn't mean there is only one clear winner.
