Did you read my post (51) to the op? No I'm not that soft, but you are dense. OP took an old post and made it to look like it was just posted by Asphalt Rocket when in fact this was something AR said 2 or more years ago on a different subject.
 
Anyone who knocks another person for asking for advise is a douche! I wanna know how ths damn truck is turning out!! How about you guys?

No sir, that is incorrect - this was sent to me from a member of another forum and explained to me that I was getting bashed at another site last night.... Im not some guy that holds info for a couple of years and decides to play my cards at some random moment lmao. Either way this has all turned a bit childish IMO. Im not a fan of getting bashed for asking a question.... That's all Im adding to this thread unless it has to do with the original issue - Im sorry this struck the wrong cord with you RS.
 
Any new info on the progress on the vehicle? Any pictures yet?

We will be tackling this next weekend - I was trying to acquire as much info as I could before going to town on it. Some really good advice tossed too, thank you all for that. Im shocked that we haven't ran across this before - but I will know the solution in a week and will share it for everyone so you guys won't get stumped if it arises in your endeavors :dblthumb2:
 
I'm definitely looking forward to the end result. Are you going to take any paint measurements?

I won't take paint measurements only because I don't have a paint thickness gauge.... but I will start the same as I always do with the least aggressive method first and by using some products that were recommended for this situation. Either way the problem will get fixed - and it will add a little bit of knowledge to everyone's tool box :xyxthumbs:

Well I actually learnt that finishing with a rotary is indeed better than DA.. I polished with rotary/3M ultrafina/3M UK pad and for the first time polishing my black mica paint I can see myself in the paint as if I'm looking at a mirror...The only thing I hate is the splatter I really had to work in open space else I've to clean up mess from cabinets and walls..

I called Anthony and talked to him this morning about this project and I'm confident he'll see this project through to success and share what worked and everyone on this forum will benefit from his experience.


One thing I appreciate about Anthony is is strong work ethic and his willingness to share his experiences on this forum to help others. This forum is better from his participation.


Now lets keep this thread on topic.

to many here to read them all so this may have been said. But do you think someone else worked on this and f ed it up and buffed it with some big time filler wax and then you came along and pulled it out and thats how it got there ? but y didnt you see this before it left the shop ? If you ask me you didnt do it but sometimes you just help them out did you do the work ? or is the worker the did it scared to say any thing for fear of job loss ? the time you speand reading all this you can fix it lol good luck
