06' Boxster Vs. Windows & Wheels w/Rupes!

Awesome work. M205 is pretty amazing stuff. I'm sure the Rupes is awesome. I just see too many trying to find the perfect polisher moving from one polisher to the next. IMO get to know a polisher and learn how to use it.

It appears that the three most powerful polishers are Rupes, Flex for DAs and the rotary. But even less powerful polishers achieve the same results.

What seems to be impressive about the Rupes is its smooth operation.

I agree, getting to know your machine can give you a huge leg up. Trust me i put HUNDREDS of hours into working the Griots, PC and Dynabrade. I could get very good results with all of them...but the Rupes seems to give the same results faster...and easier. Anything that'll save me time and ware on my body..im all for.

While the smooth operation is great...the throw..the momentum of that bigger 21mm stroke makes a very big difference. Like i said before, i held back about 6 months before trying it...waiting to see what others who i knew were very legit detailers had to say...when they gave me the thumbs up over n over...i decided to pull the trigger.

I thought about pm'ing you about your offer. But I would never use the machine. I would just box it up and put it on a shelf in the garage...awaiting the day that the Dynamic Duo is inducted into the Detailing Hall of Fame.

Best wishes to you, and Dani.

Im sure once you got it you'd find some use for it :). I'll probably snap some photos of it today and put it up for sale then.

I think we're a long ways from the hall of fame lol, but we'll keep working towards it. :dblthumb2:

Excellent! I actually JUST got my Rupes in TODAY!!! So excited to use it later.

Why does that stupid rupes 21 have to be so good!? Why God, why? Now I have to buy one.

Wooww great job!!!:applause:

Niceeeeeeeee job!

You bought the 15 to spread sealant? :p

Thanks guys. And no...15 is used mostly for fine polishing. Usually ill do the cutting (now with the 21) and Dani will finish behind me (now with the 15)....the PC and Griots are great machines but jiggle to hell...and while a job here n' there isnt bad...when we have a week with 3 or 4 corrections in it...it can cause some hand/wrist pain. The 15 is much easier for her to handle. And the fact it spreads sealant nicely is just an added bonus :)

Because it has been blessed by the BuffDaddy thats why lol :buffing:

And yeah get one, and the 5" backing plate...and enjoy polishing bliss. That washer he gives with his makes a HUGE difference too. It really helps to increase the rotation of the backing plate.

You and Dani have sure teamed up to be great, professional detailers. :props:

In the end, I've tried both, and ultimately went with the 15. I'll take the ease of use over less cut. However, the 15 will still easily out cut any standard DA. It's a good compromise.

You'll love it, guaranteed.

I had no problem using the 21...both seemed very easy to use IMO...maybe its cause the monster dynabrade got me whipped into shape for the 21 :)

If you're only using the 15 for finishing, you could have saved yourself 350 bucks and finished with the griots. JMO.

Love that color. Very nice work. Seeing you guys using your Rupes makes me one jealous detailer.:nomore:

The car looks really good! :dblthumb2: I really like your write ups. There is so much information and I find it entertaining to read. Seeing the results you got from that Rupes polisher is really making me wish I had one.
