Hi all,
Someone here recommended I try the 1Z Deep Plastic Cleaner on my coated leather seats to deep clean them, so I figured, why not, and ordered a bottle with my last order.
Their website specifically states "Use on the dashboard, steering wheel, shift knob, arm rests, finished leather and pedals.". I tried it in a inconspicuous spot, and all seemed to go real well, so I began spraying it on my seats, and agitating lightly with a soft toothbrush, and wiping off the residue.
Well, my seats, while coated, must have the dye mixed in with the coating, because it looks like it's stripped it off!

What do you guys think? Is a re-dye my only hope here?
In addition, a few months back, when I first applied some LEXOL cleaner to it and agitated, it looked like I took a dime sized spot of the dye off. It was a slightly darker color underneath. The problem is, this area (and now more, due to the 1Z) are slightly tacky, no matter how "clean" I try to get the area, and the fibers from my pants stick to them (like a lint brush) and the seat looks dirty again after a week or so. Any ideas what to do with this problem as well?
