Tips for using Detailer's Paint Coating
After detailing a few cars since this product was introduced, here are a few tips to help you out. Now these are not big picture tips, in fact these are some very small and basic tips. But good results and consistent results come from focusing on the basics. And as the saying goes...
Sometimes the little things are the big things
Tip 1 - Prime your pad
When getting ready to apply the new Detailer's Paint Coating, since your applicator pad should be clean and dry, before "touching" the applicator down onto the paint you probably just polished, take a nano second to prime your applicator pad with a small spray of the Detailer's Paint Coating. You only have to do this one time when starting out with a dry applicator.
As you can see the spray nozzle does a great job of finely atomizing the liquid coating into microscopic misting droplets that will easily dampen the dry applicator surface making it easier to spread the coating over a panel when you first start out.
Tip 2 - Hold the sprayer about one foot away from the panel
Because the spray nozzle does a good job of atomizing the liquid paint coating, if you hold the bottle about a foot and a half away from the panel you're treating, you'll spray the coating out over a larger surface making it easier to more efficiently cover more surface area.
If you hold the bottle too close you'll have a lot of the liquid coating in a small area and have to do more wiping of the paint to spread it out.
Note this tip is really important when working on vertical panels. If you spray on too much product to too small an area you can create a run and possibly waste product.
Tip 3 - Look at the paint from an angle that allows you to see the product on the surface
The product is very clear, like water so on lighter colored cars, especially white and silver metallics, it can be hard to see on the surface. Position yourself so you can look at the panel at an angle and use any surrounding light source to inspect for high points, that is excess residue.
Tip 4 - Only work a small section at a time
A small section is about a 2' x 2' area. If you're working a panel that is larger than this then divide the panel into smaller sections. It's easier to thoroughly apply and work the product into the paint when doing a large section than when trying to work a larger panel all at once.
Use natural breaks, for example the seam between where the hood meets the fender as a stopping point for one panel, and the starting point for the next panel.
Tip 5 - Wipe the treated area softly before moving to new area
The nano-glass ceramic particles bond to the paint very quickly and then dry. Any high spots, (which are technically excess residues), sitting on the surface will be hard to wipe off if you wait too long. When making this final wipe, use a clean soft microfiber towel with a gentle touch. Give each panel a careful inspection as you're wiping and buffing the panel to a high gloss, glass-like shine.
Bonus Tip
Always inspect your microfiber towels to make sure they are surgically clean and then be sure to fold your microfiber 4-ways to provide 8 sides to wipe with and plenty of soft cushion to spread out the pressure of your hand.
Wiping slowly will help remove any trace residue.

Tip 6 - Enjoy the results!
Don't keep the shine to yourself! Take your car for a spin and blind a few others!
Detailer's Paint Coating is the easiest paint coating on the market to use today. It's so easy anyone can get professional results their first time and every time like you see above.
