The New FLEX PE14-2-150 Rotary Buffer

A good rotary costs money, my Festool Shinex was 450 euro's (more than 600 dollars ;) )

    Menzerna Chart

Menzerna told me you can polish ceramic clears and regular clears, no problem. The ceramic abbrasives (are round) are more expensive to produce. That's why they also make polishes for non-ceramic clear coats. The diffrence between P85RD (Final Finish) and 106FA (nano finish) is the AMOUNT of the...

Ford Focus my '01 vs Scouring Sponge

Now this little thing to take care of. PTG readings were 165-170 so a good chance there is enough paint to do some sanding. Is used a Festool 2mm excentric machine and Festool sanding pads (2000 and 3000 grit). After sanding: (it's not out of focus, it's just that flat!) After polishing...

Ford Focus my '01 vs Scouring Sponge

Time to show something of my work for a change :xyxthumbs: My Brother-in-law has bought a "new"car: a Ford Focus from 2001. Unfortunatly he bought it without seeying the car first. It came via someone he knew and trusted it was good.... the car itself is great except the paintwork... The...

    want high percent carnuba

True, i have a small sample jar from dodo juice with 70% pure carnauba and it's hard as a rock. On the bottom is a message that it can't be used as a wax. It's purely to make a statement to the "100% carnauba!" waxes. If you want a good carnaubwax try the Mother's carnauba paste, Natty's paste...

    Menzerna Product input

I always use at least 2 extra steps to polish this one down. I follow this up with 85RD 3.02 and 85RD and if neccesary dual action with 85RD to prevent any holograms/ Try 85RD 3.02 (new name is PO83Q), in my opnion the PO83Q is a little better to work with. If you're planning on using only 1...

    Menzerna Product input

@Mike, the information comes from Menzerna factory in Germany. I work at a detailing (web)store (also big customer from AG!) and we have Menzerna polishes under private label. They told us they had 3 finishing polishes we could choose from: 85RD, 85RE and 106FA. The difference between them is...

    Menzerna Product input

The abbrassives in both products are the SAME. There is only more of the SAME abbrasive in the 106FA than in the 85 RD. Menzerna made the 106FA as a 1-step product. It just takes longer to brake down. My Menzerna products: S500 (Fast Gloss) S34 Power Gloss PO85RD 3.02 (also for ceramic...

    Powergloss or M105 ?

Fast Gloss is the new Menzerna S500, after the power gloss came the S100 and a bit after that they came up with the S500. They send us (I work at a foreign carcarewebshop) a sample and I love it. The smell is bit of a bummer but it works great! We have at under a private label now, i haven't...

    Powergloss or M105 ?

I would go for the M105. Too bad AG does not have the new Fast Gloss from Menzerna. It has better cut and better finish.

    Chip Foose and Mothers

Overhaulin' isnt just a commercial. I saw somebody in the background holding the bottle, and polishing the stuff that comes out. I don't think they go through alot of trouble empying the bottle, cleaning it and putting something else in it. I wish could meet Chip someday but I don't think...

Wolfgang Fuzion OR Pinnacle Souveran...help me...

If you polish your car in a good way (like the Corvette) you have 90-95% of the wetlook/gloss you can get. The last 5% is a glaze and/or wax. I don't think you can see any difference between Souveran and Fuzion. I have Fuzion myself, never tried Souveran but Fuzion is for me the most easiest wax...
