I was wondering if anyone else did this? I made something very similar for pressure washing buffing pads only I cut out about half way around the circumference of the bottom so that I didn't soak my feet. I also cut a bowl in half that was about the same diameter as the bucket and zip tied it to...
I've always used a lc white pad when using 205 on speed 4-5(I've noticed for some reason the white pads vary in density so I use the softer ones when I can). I work it in with medium pressure first then lighten up at the end. 205 has decent cut compared to most finishing polishes and I've never...
This is one of the first "bug sponges" Ive ever used and since then I've always bought them in bulk. A cool trick to make it last longer is to cut it in half long ways so you get two sponges out of it:)
I don't think the glass restorer is meant to be used on tint but for the exterior glass yes you can use a foam pad. I'm not sure about wool though. You should invest in some glass specific cutting pads for best results.
I've never really heard of SCG until about 2 weeks ago when I noticed Walmart started selling their products which they had a lot of. I just thought they were some company that sounded cool with no real reputation. I'll be taking a closer look next time I go to Walmart now.
I know lots of people include a glass sealant or rain repellent when doing a full detail but for those who offer it as an up-sell what are you using and how much do you charge extra? Right now I use Stoner's glass cleaner with repellent on all exterior glass but I'm looking to offer something...
I worked full time at a car dealership detailing cars since I was 18(I'm 25 now) and at 19 I got promoted to detail manager and got trained to do full details there which they didn't offer before. I made pretty good money for being 19 which allowed me to buy my first sports car which was a brand...
So has this FCD method changed the headlight restoration game? I just don't see how a scrub pad that's equivalent of 1000 grit sand paper could remove heavy oxidation and prepare for sealing. I know using my drill and 500 grit has a little trouble sometimes. I'm not bashing the FCD method...
Using a dedicated pad conditioner can help prevent "dry buffing" and increase the amount of working time for some products. If you're the type of person who takes every precaution possible to ensure the job is done correctly without causing any marring whatsoever then use a pad conditioner.
Where did you get this waiver at or where can I find it?
Btw I found Saab's to be one of the easier and safer engines to detail. I worked at a Saab dealer for about 4 years and detailed well over 150 Saab engines with no problems. The only thing I hated about Saab's was when the 9-3's battery...
Does anyone here have their customer's sign a waiver when detailing an engine? It seems like a smart move in my opinion. I detail a lot of engines and I've never had a problem but I know there's a chance it could happen at anytime.
My method of cleaning engines has proven to be fine but if the...
If you did the paint correction and it looked fine then you got holograms after you washed it a couple times it sounds like you're causing the holograms. You may want to rethink your wash method. Are you using the dual bucket method with grit guards?
Your express service sounds fine the way it is. You don't want to add too much to an express service and charge more because most people understand an express service isn't going to be anything extensive. My express service on the interior consists of full vacuum, quick wipe down of dash, glass...
