Anyone else hate their Flex 3401?

I have used my 3401 on 2 vehicles. I am really trying to like it, but having a hard time with it. I am currently working on a 2008 rav 4 that is in poor shape. I ended up grabbing my rotary after 2 test spots with the flex, and started wondering why I bought the flex. Then I...

    First detail

Seems very light. I would have charged that for the interior alone, depending on just how bad it was. As stated by previous poster, depends on what your location's going rate is. Regardless of price, if the client was happy, it was a success. Congratulations!

    car canopy

My buddy has a mobile glass business and used one until the wind got ahold of it one day, and drug it across a brand new car at the dealership he was working at. If you get one, anchor it well.

Applying CQuartz UK at 103 Degrees?!?

Sorry to hear it didn't go well. At least the customer was understanding. I hear you about the heat. If I wanted to live in this kind of weather, I would move to Nevada.

    Rotary Buffer

I just got my new flex from autogeek today(haven't even tried it out yet). But I will always have a rotary in the arsenal. Been using them for 15 years, and have no plans to ever not have one. If you know how to use a rotary, they are a valuable tool.

    Couple of dressing questions

Some very good suggestions. Perl is definitely going to be in my next order. But that will be for normal tires. The reason I need a spray and walk away, is the aggressive off road tires on my jeep, and a couple of other vehicles that I detail. They have a lot of deep lugs on the sidewalls that...

    Couple of dressing questions

I am looking for some advice regarding tire dressing and trim dressing. First, I am looking for a spray and walk away product for aggressive off road tires. I have tried a number of consumer off the shelf products, but they are all too slimy and tend to sling when you drive. Second issue is a...

    New tool for oldschool detailer

Hey fellow geeks. I am a 15 year detailer that has gotten stellar results over the years using a rotary buffer. In my quest to go from detailing as a side gig, to doing it full time for myself, I have been doing a lot of research on all the new products and processes that have come along. I...

Not a noob, but kind of feeling like one. So much has changed!

I have not. I hardly ever get up that way anymore. I do deal with a mobile supplier from Salem for a few of my products. Definitely going to be spending some coin at this site. Too much cool stuff here!

Not a noob, but kind of feeling like one. So much has changed!

Hello everyone! I have been detailing for over 15 years. Started out in custom paint shops, and eventually got enough time under my belt to get a spray gun in my hand. Due to a rotator cuff injury, I don't paint anymore, but I have been detailing as a side gig all these years. Evidently, I am...
