    White N Nerdy

Just a little humor for you all. If you haven't seen Weird Al's take on Chamillionaire's (or however he spells it) song Ridin Dirty then you have to watch this. It's pretty funny. Classic Weird Al. :D http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kMh-kjTO6DY

    Vinylex Blows!!!!!

I've been using and like 303 protectant. As for a restorer, I've had good luck with PB's Trim Restorer.

    Polishing pad question.

Well, that settles it then. I definitely need to get the pad cleaner. Also, is there a big difference in upgrading to the Edge pads as opposed to the regular velcro pads I'm currently using? (Why do I feel the answer will be a resounding YES!) :)

    Polishing pad question.

Thanks for the responses guys. sparkie: No, I don't have any of the polishing pad cleaner. Looks like I need to order something else. lol blkyukon: Thanks for the heads up on the extra pads. I guess I can order those along with the pad cleaner. And oops, I meant to put this in the...

    Polishing pad question.

Hi everyone. I finally got around to starting in on doing my Yukon (much more vehicle to work with than was my Civic!) and noticed something with the pads. I'm using the PC with the Wolfgang pads, and as I got more of the truck done, it seemed as though the pad wasn't doing much of anything. By...

    Dad's work truck!

Good job. I always like to see how nice a badly cared for red paint job can come back to life with a little bit of effort. I find the 7424 to be rather easy to work with and not tiring at all. Maybe it's your technique? Dunno.

    What Speed?

I know it only has the whole numbers, but like Grimm said there is no inbetween speed, just a definite 5 or a 6, depending on which way you are dialing it, up or down.

    What Speed?

Same here. Did we get the factory rejects with no 5.5 setting? :D

    Detailed: 93 Toyota 4Runner

Thanks for the compliments everyone. They are appreciated. I too was rather amazed at how it turned out. To be honest, I thought it was a lost cause.

    Detailed: 93 Toyota 4Runner

Well, this is vehicle number 2 of 3 I have done so far, and I wasn't really looking too forward to doing the 4Runner, because as you will see in the pictures, the paint is really bad. Lots of scratches, chips and etching that goes down to the metal, and no clear coat either. It really needs to...

    Wheel wells

Another vote for the DP Cleanse All and the Mother's fender well brush. I then spray it with 303.

The results of my first attempt at a full detail.

The only places I used it on was the black rubber around the wheel wells. It was looking pretty bad, almost white along the top of the rubber. It's not a big enough area to really tell too much about the product actually.

The results of my first attempt at a full detail.

I sprayed and scrubbed it actually, then just hosed the whole thing down. No problems. Luckily for me (and it being a Honda lol) there wasn't much in the way of cleaning as far as grease or oil. All I did afterwards was use 303 on all the hoses and plastic. See what happens when I'm too...
