A bit annoyed they're discontinuing HD Adapt, an excellent product, can't say I'll be going back to 3D for a compound/polish, never know when they'll discontinue the next one. Will have to look elsewhere.

Thought I'd bump this thread... Coated a car in Gloss Coat last week and as a beading wh0re (Sonax PNS, CarPro Reload, Gtechniq EXOv2 etc...) I can say it beads and sheets just as well if not better than these products. First wash I was very pleased with the results. Better water reaction...

The RS7 is meant to compete with the M6 Gran Coupe not the 7 series. The A8/S8 is the 7 series competitor.

What I do is prime a MF towel with Sonax BSD, not soak it, just get it damp, then spray PNS on that then wipe on (sometimes on the panel), I call this my wet towel then almost immediately wipe it off with another MF towel, I call this the semi-wet towel, finally buff the area with a dry towel...

Prep-sol, IPA, CarPro Eraser, Gtech Panel Wipe would all be fine prior to Sonax PNS. Durability is said to be ~6 months and I have confirmed that, but with anything its with how you take care of it and how the car is used/stored. Garage queens could see a year out of the stuff. Daily drivers...

Known Scott for almost a decade through a different forum, always does an outstanding job. No surprises here.

I'm a Sonax PNS guy, I used OOS last year and was not impressed by its durability or water characteristics.

You top Sonax PNS with Sonax Brilliant Shine Detailer. It's basically the friendly QD version of PNS which even on it's own can last 2-3 months. It's more of a spray sealant than anything else. It will add a little slickness over PNS but not much, not anything like an Aquawax or Reload. Just...

This is also what I did, works perfectly.

I actually had similar streaks last week after applying reload and went with a non-abrasive polish in DP Coating Prep Polish and it took the streaks right out with only 3 passes. Ended up re-applying reload the correct way and all is well.

Opti-Seal never gave me the durability I was looking for, never got more than a month out of it
