From my experience I think megs breaks down quicker and optimum can take awhile. I just wanted to try out some other megs products. I never stated that optimum was better than megs, thanks.

what type of machine do you have and cutting pads? you might want to invest in some xmt polish or optimum polish with a variety of cutting pads

I think he means the original painted parts have swirls and he wants to polish them out so it looks mint like the new painted part(s).

chemical guys ez-creme acrylic glaze with any sealant should bond together just fine if the glaze is applied first right?

which is more abrasive, optimum polish or xmt #4?

I've used xmt #2/yellow edge pad and it worked alright on some light scratches, but wasn't enough for the deeper ones that were in the clear coat even when I tried 2x. Would you guys suggest xmt #4? If I used optimum polish with a yellow pad would I yield similar results as xmt #2 or better...

Hi I have a 98 prelude and my trunk has pink sections on it and was wondering if thats oxidation. I tried using the pc with a green edge cutting pad and meguiars fine cut polish which is like a 2nd level polish and it didnt remove the pink spots, but I also didnt apply any pressure. some parts...

clay bar wont work, I ended up wet sanding the top of each blob off with 600 then once I cut the top off I used 1500 then 2000 to get rid of the paint. now there's a sanded pink mark, what should I use for this? polish? the whole trunk needs to be polished with a buffer too which I'll be doing...

I think it happened at my girls house, but anyways i will try the more agressive clay first then the 1500 grit, thanks guys. I'll post results next week!

somehow paint got on my other car and theres splatter on the roof, trunk, and spoiler. It's an oil based paint. I'm thinking of taping off each splatter and wet sanding with 600 grit to get it down a little then using an orbital buffer to finish it off with a mild agressive pad (orange edge pad)...
