Tips for speeding up the detailing process

Mister b, you do great work, which is more important than the time it takes to do it. I definitely understand wanting to spead up, though. I hate having to keep other people's cars for more than a day.

Tips for speeding up the detailing process

The things that set me back are not being organized and taking breaks. Im mobile and do all of my corrections out of my parents' garage. I don't live with my parents, though, and don't have any way of spreading my stuff out in their garage to make it easily accessible. Thinking about...

Just Curious - For those that have used the Drywash product I recommended?!?!?!

It's great for my truck. I live in an apartment and the local car washes won't let me handwash at all (have gotten yelled at several different times). I run and use their pressure washer and then drive home and give it a run with the waterless. My truck rarely gets that dirty, though. Just...

I feel the LC orange pad doesn't have...

As long as you clean the pad after, you can still use the d300.

I feel the LC orange pad doesn't have...

I <3 my makita. I had been practicing with it for a while and finally used it for a full detail last week. Learned a lot that day haha. No paint was harmed...

I feel the LC orange pad doesn't have...

Have you tried the MF pads and 105? That's what I ended up using on my girlfriend's sebring and it worked pretty well. It was the most neglected paint I've ever worked on and it got roughly 90% of everything out. The MF pads are more aggressive than the orange pad.

I feel the LC orange pad doesn't have...

What kinda car are you working on? I did a blaçk bimmer this past week and the orange lc flat pad knocked it out pretty quick. Might have been playing with my new makita, though :D The orange pad does an excellent job, just doesn't get as much as a wool pad or the MF disks do. Not sure it...

Watch Charles Barkley play golf... it will at least make you feel better and show you what not to do.

Venting - You may ignore this!

Seajay, sorry man. You're a good dude and very helpful on here. Just gotta hit the ground running and hope for the best. Any new business will struggle at first, but if you maintain quality work everyday than you will be more than good to go. I hope the best for you and your family.

removing 3 year old stickers from car

I removed the stickers off the bed of my truck and the pinstripes and I can't see any sign of the stickers. I can see where the stripes were if I really look for them, but I'm going to wait to wetsand until I have some other body work done.

what i did with my new PC7424XP

I agree 110% :) I don't own a flex but have used one, and for my needs I don't need one. I'm never in a huge hurry, though. If I needed to cut back on my time I would probably invest in one. Dubbin, will you join my wolf pack?

what i did with my new PC7424XP

Dubbin, I like you. I think one day we'll become the two best friends that anybody has ever had. But to answer your question, the flex 3401 utilizes forced rotation, which most people feel leads to faster correction when using foam pads.

Using Griot's fine hand polish on glass?

I work for an insurance company and file claims all day, 4 days a week... It blows my mind how many people we catch committing fraud, let alone how many file and then get away with it.
