haha thank you to everyone that has stuck to sharing info on more expensive waxes. i gave a list earlier in this thread of the waxes i already have on hand, which some people overlooked because they are recommending waxes sitting in my garage. but anyways... i think i have boiled my choices...

To glaze or not to glaze

some glazes have fillers and some dont. the term GLAZE seems to be encroaching on other categories as some are strictly paint enhancers/cleaners, some claim to feed the paint with oils, some have fillers and some dont, some use polymers and acrylics, some now have durability and some dont...

To glaze or not to glaze

to me the only characteristic of a glaze that may be useful is to hide swirls/blemishes if youre not doing a full correction

To glaze or not to glaze

i suppose it depends on the glaze, it seems like some glazes are basically like paint polish enhancers, and some are like an oil feed with fillers, and some are acrylic. i did however state above that an acrylic type glaze could be used and thats why you can top your EZ Creme with no problems...

To glaze or not to glaze

i think if youre doing a sealant... a glaze would obstruct the bond between the clearcoat and sealant because it contains oils. to me, a glaze is only necessary on waxed cars where you want to hide some swirls/scratches without doing a full correction process. So yes to glaze before wax, no to...

and yeah yeah i know you dont see a huge huge difference as you get more expensive but A) as a detailer i do like knowing i am using a product that is just a little better than some others, people spend thousands of extra dollars on a road bike to shave a pound off the weight and B) some...

    High(er) end wax

So I've used the Zymol and Swissvax in the past (ones above this price range). Great waxes but also very pricey and unless every one of my clients has an exotic, I don't want to buy them. So I am looking into other brands and would like to know if anyone has used or has any input on these...

    ** 2011 Rolls Royce Ghost **

i wouldnt necessarily treat the wood like paint... who knows how the trim is treated, how many layers of lacquer, not getting the exterior product on the adjacent material, etc. there are specialty high end products used for wood parts in the car industry. swissvax makes some and its not...

My thoughts on the PCXP Menzerna max shine kit

a 5 inch thick pad has much more mass (directly related to friction) to rotate and i feel like you would definitely have to apply some pressure to get the pad to compress and cut normally. also, it would surely throw off the oscillations, maybe even negate them on a DA.

My thoughts on the PCXP Menzerna max shine kit

press your palm on your desk with some pressure and try turning it clockwise or counterclockwise, now do it with the tip of your finger with the same amount of pressure, smaller surface areas require less energy to move given the same materials/density/etc.

My thoughts on the PCXP Menzerna max shine kit

haha thank you for taking the time to mathematically explain my point, no it does not change the frictional resistance of the actual surfaces but increasing the diameter of the pad increases the amount of force it takes to move the pad from a static position and the 6.5 inch pads definitely want...
