High(er) end wax

I just did a trade for a new can of CG 50/50 and I'm looking forward to trying it out!!

You're going to love it Bobby, it's a great wax that's a wipe on and wipe off. I'll do half my hood and then wipe it off and just keep going on each body panel.

The wolfgang looks good as you get a free refill, does the redish color of the wolfgang give any tint?

No it doesn't tint paint. I used it on a white Benz and the owner loved it. I've used it on black, metallic black, metallic blue, silver, white, and metallic red and it looked awesome on all of them.

I started using Pinnacle Souveran on my black Porsche since that seemed to be the best bet from what I read on the forums. I loved it but wasn't thrilled by it. It wasn't bad for the price i got it for though. Then I borrowed a friends Fuzion mini and was blown away by the difference. It is a much 'shinier' wax in my eyes. Not like a Zaino shine, but more like wet candy was poured on the car. I also feel that Fuzion gives that 'wow' factor to many colors while Souveran is targetted to a few colors.

The good thing is you can buy a Fuzion mini for $50 and try out a high(er) end wax for not much money. You are still putting a $200 wax on your customers cars! :)

My next wax purchase will be the Dodo 8 pot sampler or maybe the supernatural Hybrid I keep hearing about. I'd like to try Swissvax but that will have to be another day.

i love the fuzion. It def gives the "wow" factor. Liquid souveran is super easy to use I love it. Now let me bring a wax up that hasnt been brought up yet.... POORBOYS NATTY BLUE AND RED. I have to say that I love these! I use to blue on darker color cars BTW it also helps fill in light swirls. The shine is outstanding. The red I use on lighter color cars, but i have used on dark colors and still AMAZING! im surprised no one brought these up.

I love Natty's red as well, I didn't bring it up because he was talking about higher price waxes.

well nattys gives better shine than some higher end waxes ive used. the durability isnt the greatest but hey, how many customers look at the durability?

and yeah yeah i know you dont see a huge huge difference as you get more expensive but A) as a detailer i do like knowing i am using a product that is just a little better than some others, people spend thousands of extra dollars on a road bike to shave a pound off the weight and B) some customers like to know they have a wax on their car that most people wouldnt spend money on.

:xyxthumbs:

And for the question, I never tried the Wolfgang Fuzion, but I tried the souveran and yes, it's a really good wax.

Yea it probaly does, I didn't bring it up because he was asking about higher priced waxes

haha thank you to everyone that has stuck to sharing info on more expensive waxes. i gave a list earlier in this thread of the waxes i already have on hand, which some people overlooked because they are recommending waxes sitting in my garage. but anyways... i think i have boiled my choices down to the fuzion, swissvax and the migliore

I like Fuzion much better then Souveran..I used Souveran on my car twice then went back to Fuzion again and just forgot how much nicer it is to use..It wipes off soo clean and is not as greasy as souveran is. Plus its durability isnt all that great compared to Fuzion

My X5 doesn't live out in the sun and Souveran wax, with Pinnacle Crystal Detail applied after every wash - and those are every week, is going on six months now. I reapplied the wax on the hood and roof after four months or so because it was slightly losing some beading. All I can say is WOW! I get a lot of compliments in parking lots :dblthumb2:.

And the car has not a swirl in it. I think with proper wash care it protects against those too!

Best,

Jose

i wish i knew the carnauba content of the fuzion. migliore says 50% swissvax says 40% both high grades

I've used Primo on my car (color - phantom mica) came up quite good, needs to be put on super thin and can be a pain to take off when its cold.

Which one?Feed back please
Sorry I posted that earlier, Swissvax Concorso. It is a little pricey, but I treated my self and I love it. Very tight water beading, dirt slides off, unbelievable, deep shine. Very nice wax. I may try Swissvax Mirage or Shield next.

Forgot to put this picture in my previous post. This is how the X5 looks 5-months after I applied Pinnacle Souveran Wax and using Crystal detail Spray after every wash (and I wash every week):
