kochdalton87 I can see someone using it to clean bug debris or bird poo but an entire car. People are dumb.

Funniest thing you saw about detailing

I cant remember where I saw the post/picture of a guy using the squeegee at the gas station to clean his entire new Cadillac.

    It'll buff out!

I would assume its personal because not many people walk around with paint stripper.

    It'll buff out!

It had to be personal I would assume. That's infinite bad karma if it was just some random vandalism A hole.

My Brand New 2015 Acura TLX!!! (V6 w/ Technology & Advance Packages)

Congrats! Just saw this car for the first time online yesterday. Is it the 4 or 6 cylinder. I would love the 6 cylinder for power but I'm to cheap and would go with the 4 just for mpg. Envious!

    Never touch a detailers car!

I don't thinks she's single but she is spry for her age;) If we do have a child hopefully I can keep the eating to outside of the vehicle. My wife laughed at the ex mosquito comment. Even before I knew about detailing I don't think I would ever run my finger nails down a car.

    Never touch a detailers car!

Well for one I'm married and in my 30's and she's in her late 60's so hopefully she's not flirting. I only work part time as a detailer and this was at my office job. She was outside supposedly watering the flowers and decided to water the inside and outside of my car while she was at it. My...

    Never touch a detailers car!

I'm at work today and a co-worker comes to me and says I rinsed your car off for you. I thought she was joking at first but after asking her if she was serious several times and told her my windows were cracked she assured me she had done it. I go outside and sure enough she had rinsed my car...

    Claying with Water Only!?

I definitely want to try the nanoskin product. My home owners association already hates me for being the only one in the neighborhood who washes my car. If I was to use a pressure washer they would definitely make it their personal vendetta. I already got a letter threating legal action stating...

    Claying with Water Only!?

I have some iron-x and thought it was just another step used along side claying. I didn't know replaced the need for claying. I do feel its slightly expensive but time is money and if it saves me from having to polish from claying induced marring then its worth it. I used it on several vehicles...

    Claying with Water Only!?

Thanks for all the helpful advice guys. You've definitely gave some good new options for me to try. I would imagine your paint would have to be very soft to be marred by most commercial clays.

    Claying with Water Only!?

Lately I've been claying by spraying water lightly from the hose. This seems to provide adequate lubrication. I've had instances in the past where this wasn't providing enough lubrication and had to use a lubricant. I like this method because it keeps me from having to wash the car again to rid...

    Polishing Lexan?

I will try a couple of test spots to see what method works quicker and with better results hopefully. I will order some plastic cleaner and polish to test along side the rubbing compound. I hope a wool pad will work best at absorbing more of the nasty oxidation on these windows.

    Polishing Lexan?

My church is trying to raise 35k to replace the exterior lexan windows protecting the stained glass. I'm hoping to save the church money by restoring the windows myself. The windows are extremely oxidized but I was able to restore a test spot by wet sanding with 1500 grit then 3000 followed by...
