using a drill as a polisher

I find it hard to control. If rotary needs a lot of practice, I guess it's a lot harder to use a drill for the entire car.

If you had to pick 1 product line for everything?

Griots because it's cheaper overall. :D It offers a lot of products too. I will miss ONR for sure.

    Doorjams?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?

Good question. You cannot see these area whether you are in or out of the car (when the doors are closed). I think wiping it and lightly cleaning it as part of the wash isn't detailing in its strictest sense. Most detailing shops here wash the car whether the customer asks for an exterior or...

    Duragloss and Collinite Question

Aside from flashing curing for immediate layering and being a time saver, I think another advantage of mixing 601 into the 501 or 105 is saving a lot of 601. If you apply it separately, you will use more or less the same amounts of 601 and 105. If you mix them, you will save 80% of the required...

    First order with Autogeek

Re: First order with Autogeek - Not so great I think AG will be double checking VIP orders. They might do something techie in their ordering system that will indicate when a VIP order was added to the list. They will be uber diligent this time. I bet there will be no more lucky number 4. This...

How does SFX-2 compare with 205? Aside from the kind of abrasive, are they close in cut?

    Duragloss users, need help

With DG, we can now give the sky and clouds a finger or two and say "suck it"The car can be immediately used also without fear of running into something that will mess up the curing because there is actually no more curing to speak of. :D

Thanks richy and rwright. For persons with no covered garage, it sucks when it rains while the LSP is curing. It compromises the durability of an otherwise durable wax or sealant. After reapplication, these persons sometimes resort to prayers that it will not rain for the next 24 hours. This...

    Meguiar's Ultimate Products.

If you are working by DA, it is a "good back-up" to the Megs Twins. If 205 couldn't do it, UC might do without reaching for the 105.

Can the 105/601 mixture be layered immediately? Sealants can generally be layered, right? Anyway, thanks. This mixing technique made me buy the "DG Trio" or "DG Love Triangle". :D

I failed my first time polishing and waxing

Dave's method is a really a good suggestion for people who have no access to power outlet. :dblthumb2: How about temporarily removing the grille? On the bright side, you can clean the grille separately and detail it whether it's chrome, plastic, etc.

    "Jeweling paint" 3 step polish?

Anyone tried Optimum Finish Polish in jeweling? If I am not mistaken, it is the only fine finishing polish with non-diminishing abrasives. Doesn't it run against the breaking down of abrasives involved in jeweling?

I failed my first time polishing and waxing

Is it possible for a polisher to run on battery? Maybe it's only a wax spreader. Let me guess why you can only use cordless there is no power outlet where you park your car.

Mate, sorry to kinda hijack your thread. Maybe the premixed recommendation would work for you. Good Luck with your next try. I hope it goes well.

Thanks. I tried 501 on a faucet and it came out great and shiny. No doubt that wheels will benefit. :D
