    303 Fabric Guard block UV?

Can someone please tell me if 303 Fabric Guard actually blocks UV rays? On their website it only states that it "reduces fading" however there is nothing that directly states that it has UV protection. I sent the distributor an email but never got a response that's why I'm asking here. I...

    IPhone 6 or Galaxy S5

I would go iPhone all the way. If you want a phone that is secure and is simple to use then get an iPhone. I'm a car audio installer and Android gives us headaches. There are so many different versions of it and so many different devices run it that there is bound to be compatibility issues...

    Best OPC pre-wash technique?

Yes I realise that, but washing alone never removed all the crap on the paint. I won't do it every time but I don't mind re-waxing either... I'm hoping once I can get the majority of the spots off, I can use other "maintenance" products in between doing a full strip. I just want to make...

    Best OPC pre-wash technique?

I recently got myself some Optimum Power Clean to use as a pre-wash/bee poo remover. I've diluted it 3:1 and put it in a spray bottle. I just want to know if I should wet the car down first before applying or should I spray it on dry paint, THEN hose the car off before washing? The problem...

    What are these?

    What are these?

Yeah I can easily scratch them off with my fingernail after a wash but it leaves tiny scratches in the surface of the paint (because the car is black it's more obvious). I'd love to know what bug causes it! Is there a pre-wash product that will soften/dissolve them without eating into the...

    What are these?

Hi thanks for the reply, I looked into artillery fungus and I'm not completely convinced that is what it is. These dots don't have a hard "cap" like artillery fungus and they are tan in colour, not black. Not to mention that we have no plants/mulch in our front yard (it's a new house with just...

    Christmas mishap on black Merc

I've been meaning to post this for a while as I thought some of you might be interested. This happened on Christmas day, when my wife's nephew placed his Christmas present on the bonnet of our black Merc which I have previously paint corrected. The present in question was a remote controlled...

    What are these?

I always get these little brown or tan coloured dots on my car's paint, I'm just wondering what they are? Washing alone doesn't get them off. You can scratch them off with your fingernail but that instills very small scratches in the paint. The car is parked out in the open and clear...

    Mike's IBook

Download the PDF version on your PC. Open it on the PC to confirm it works. Then just drag and drop that into "books" on iTunes. Then sync your iPad with PC. Open iBooks and it should be there. You will have to enter your email address as the password to open it...

    Aerospace 303 on windscreen?

Thanks guys, I might just stick to a dedicated glass cleaner then. I generally use it on my dash and exterior black plastic trim. Maybe it soaked into my wiper blade inserts and bought them back to life and that's why they were working so well:)

    Aerospace 303 on windscreen?

Is Aerospace 303 designed to work on glass? I was in a rush last time I used it and got over-spray on the windscreen and wipers. The next day it rained and once the initial smear had cleared, the wipers were silky smooth and the water droplets seemed to glide off the glass more easily. If...

    Spray on upholstery cleaner?

Yeah I've got a Shop Vac with a brush attachment that I use to vac the seats and carpet however the car is almost 5 years old and has 110,000km's on it now so the driver's seat has seen a lot of dust in that time lol;)

    Spray on upholstery cleaner?

Thanks for the suggestions, I might grab the 303 or the Sonax as I don't think we have Folex or Resolve in Australia although there are probably similar products around. That seat came out great by the way!

    Spray on upholstery cleaner?

What's a good upholstery cleaner for cloth/suede seats that I can spray on and vac/wipe off? I work with a lot of MDF and the dust has embedded itself into my driver's seat and vacuuming alone doesn't seem to help anymore. It seems to have 'dulled' the colour of the fabric.

How do people let cars get like this

It's not just kids who are pigs, we fitted a brand new Ford Kuga and Land Rover Evoque with reverse cameras (pre-delivery from the dealership) and they came back 2 weeks later after being delivered to the customers and I was amazed at how poorly they had treated their new cars! The Evoque had...

Some things I have learnt from Autogeek Forums

Thanks, here's a few pics.... Wheels before. Wheels with Iron X applied. I did 3 applications in total as they hadn't been cleaned in a very long time. Wheels after. Here are a few snaps of the bonnet and roof of my car after polishing. It's a white Kia Cerato Koup (Kia Forte in the...

Some things I have learnt from Autogeek Forums

Hi everyone! Just thought I'd share some of the things I have learnt since coming across these excellent forums a little while ago. I have always enjoyed maintaining my car however since stumbling across Autogeek I feel it's gone to a higher level. I downloaded Mike's Detailing E-book and if...
