106FF question

good to hear 3 solid no filler observations, sounds good, cant wait to try this stuff out...

yes, 106FF will really amp up your finish with a finishing pad. This process is called jeweling.

Nano Polish (105FF) will remove 2500 grit, for light surface marring and / or surface finishing, cut 2.5 - gloss 5.0 for LSP ready use a primed White LC CCS foam pad - 1100 RPM

OH! No fillers

Can anyone compare the Meg's 83 polish to the 106FF as far as cut and especially the finish results?
I've been doing my vehicle with the Meg's since this is what I already have, and using it with the white pad on the pc, and also doing it with the rotary and a blue finishing pad on the large areas.

Abrasive ability is on a par but IMO Menz 106FF finish is superior. Megs 83 is not as temp / humidity dependant

FWIW- Final Finish Polish (PO106FA) the up-rated version of P0106FF, will remove 2500 - 3000 grit, for surface finishing, cut: 2.5 – gloss 5.0 contains very finely milled micro diminishing abrasives that have a sharp edge that can cut ceramic clear coats as well as the more conventional clear coats, for LSP ready use a primed White LC CCS foam pad, 1100 RPM.

I'm not sure this product is avail in the US but the finish it produces will absolutely blow you away

I was prepping my Father's Jag for winter storage and decided to clean the surface with Menz Final Inspection, before the cleaning the surface had no surface marring; after FI had cleaned the FILLERS I had to do another pass to remove them...

"OH! No fillers"
Correction - 106FF contains fillers

Quite strange. I used Menzerna Top Inspection in ~10 details after 106FF or FA and I didn't notice any filler at all. Are you working the polish until the abrassives break down? This is very important with Menzerna.

I always ensure that the polish has broken down properly by ensuring there is a clear surface, using a primed White LC CCS foam pad at 1100 RPM (and then repeat with a black foam)

I (thoroughly) cleaned the paint surface with Menz FI and checked it with a Brinkmann light. This is the first time I'd really noticed any filling from theses polishes

And, is it a new bottle or you used before the same bottle in other cars?
Just curiosity... here in Spain I buy Menzerna Top Inspection, do you get Final Inspection in other places? Maybe the product has different name in diferent places, I don't know.

Last night I used the 106ff with a LC low profile orange pad and white pad with excellent results. It corrected how I wanted with light pressure and finished how I wanted with even lighter pressure(with both pads). I like the orange low profile pad and have had no marring issues at all....finishes the same to me as the white or grey pad. A little goes a long way, believe me. It's easy to use too much. Only thing I don't like about the 106ff is the dusting. The finish looks outstanding.....

a) The same botle of 106FF I've been using for awhile (I don't know how old it is but I've not had it very long)

b) S/B Menzerna Top Inspection (PP95)

Ok mate. I'll try again and share with you my findings.

it was suggested at the other forum I read about the filling on, that the 106ff will have some filling properties on a clear coats that are very soft, because the polish was designed for hard clears.

Not that 106ff actually has "fillers" that were put in it purposely to fill, but that it had that affect when used on soft clear.

Again I have no real world experience with this, just what ive read.

Ive done several alcohol wipe downs after 106 and never noticed anything. Ill be extremely pissed if 106 has fillers.

Guys, every polish leaves something behind! The polish residue doesn't evaporate and a MF towel can't pick up all of the polish. Some of the residue from the polish will settle in the vally of swirls and sometimes a MF towel will not pick all of that up. That is why it is nice to do a S&W or alcohol wipedown to get all of the residue off of the paint. So it may seem like products are filling where its simply left over product that you didn't wipe off.... However, there are products on the market with intentional fillers....

I certainly hope thats the case. Its been suggested that the left over residue actually does something for the paint, and those left over oils shouldn't be removed. Its also been suggested that alcohol wipe downs are bad because they dry out the clear and remove the necessary oils.
