^Thanks! The orange peel really wasn't that bad IMO. As a daily driven vehicle (except in winter), I would never chase orange peel... clear coat is far too valuable for that.Nice work, great photos
That orange peel is brutal. With the PTG numbers you were seeing, would you consider chasing it?
My 2009 Yukon Denali has some, but nowhere near that much. I wonder if the Denali gets a different paint treatment?
:dblthumb2:Amazing work Zach!
Thanks!Awesome work. The last pic above (3 above this post from me) is unbelievable.
This owner as the Kia I worked on last month (thread: http://www.autogeekonline.net/forum...heels-coated-14-optima-sx-l-new-car-prep.html). He purchased several hundred dollars worth of supplies from me including grit guards, hydrO2, ONR, bunches of microfiber, etc. so he is all ready to maintain his cars!Well done! Hope the owner takes precautions not to let it get in that shape again
Thank you!Very well done. The 50/50 shots are incredible.
:dblthumb2: thanks for lookingLike always, amazing work my friend![]()
Thanks for reading!Amazing results, great photos!
Thanks you for your time posting the pictures and write up :xyxthumbs:
The lift was definitely handy!Great job! I bet using the lift on this detail makes you wish you had a lift at home! I know it makes me... Looking forward to your next one!
Very Nicerops:
Ha, I noticed the tape after the 1st pic. You'll notice it is gone in the rest of the photosAwesome job Zach, looks killer! Did you let the guy leave with masking tape on the tailgate? Only kidding...!
^I could never own a black car... unless it was a project car that was only driven in ideal conditions. So true about black paint. I debate it every new car purchase and always end up with black because it looks so good when cleaned and polished. Great job!
How did you correct/polish the b-pillar? I assume it was plastic? I always do those by hand because I've seen them get trashed being too aggressive. So just curious how you tackled them. Thanks.
:dblthumb2:nice work!
Wow:buffing:,awesome job.
Thank you!I'm definitely a fan of the work you do Zach. Great job
I will for as long as I can, thanks!Your work always seems to amaze me, your attention to detail is great
Keep it going man![]()
Thanks! OHP is a nice polish, and I enjoy using it prior to coating a vehicle because it is very easy to remove and I feel more confident that Eraser is removing the remaining residue easily.Makes me wanna go buy a black truck. Awesome job!
I guess you like the Optimum Hyper Polish?
Ha, glad you liked the shot! Thanks for reading!+1,
Also, great write up. You have some pictures in there that I can easily put into my top#5 favorite 50/50 shots.
This one:
'Another angle showing the awesome transformation.'

I would pay royalties to you for using it in my marketing data ahhahaha
Apart from that, for sure I'll proudly show people this picture when I'm to explain: 'This is what REAL Detailers do...'!
Thanks for sharing this job, and keep doing the good work.
Kind Regards.
Unfortunately detailing is only my part time job as I am a full time engineer... Fortunately my limited amount of time for detailing keeps my passion alive and doesn't allow me to feel burnt out. I take great pride in my work and I'm glad it shows! Thanks for the kind words! There's only one way to detail and that's doing it right the first time. If your livelihood is detailing this is the level of quality that will ensure your business continues to grow.
2 Very long days but what outstanding work and a speechless owner I'm sure of it.. :applause:
OH, and having a lift must be shear joy!rops:
Thanks ClaudeI just saw your FB album, but need to give you some AG props also. Well done!

Ha, thank youYou are a detailing STUD!!!
Great job, Zach!!
^This paint was not excessively hard, which was nice. I could have used the MF cutting pads in some areas as there were some remaining RIDS, however I chose not to worry about it as time was very limited. Thanks for looking!Beautiful work, you continue to transform vehicles from trash to like new status again. I am surprised the chevy paint as hard as it usual is, you did not have to brake out the MF cutting disc for that mess you had on your hands. Thanks for sharing as always and keep up the great work. Everything you do from writeups, to picture taking and detailing is all top notch.
:dblthumb2:Excellent turn around, awesome photos and a great read.... Well done Zach!
The owner was telling me he is looking into an air setupGreat work as always!
although those wheels look tinnyyyyyyyy.. maybe some accuair + deep dish billets?haha
anyways, keep it up!
Thanks Mike!Beautiful work Zach! That black truck looks incredible now!
Thanks for sharing.
What a transformation. Those 50/50 shots are great.
How did you destroy the nanoskin clay?
Man, I was thinking no one was going to catch that! haha thanks for bringing it up.... I had sprayed a small area with Tarminator, noticed there were still a few little specks of stuff, so without thinking about it I just picked up the nanoskin mitt that I had in the bucket next to me and did a quick wipe of the area and that was literally all it took. 5 seconds later the small part of the mitt that had touched the paint was sticky and gummy even though I immediately rinsed it off. The tarminator destroyed the nanoskin material... I already knew not to touch the mitt with any heavy cleaners like that, but it only took one small mental error to remind me that hard way (and this mitt was almost brand new). :nomore:
Ouch. I'll remember not to let tarminator anywhere near my clay towel.
