A friend of mine down the way contacted me to get his BMW cleaned up and ready for winter. After inspection I found out 90% of the vehicle had been repainted before he took possession of it.

It was decided an AIO exterior job would suffice while he gets other needed car parts to get the car back in shape.

As a side note, I traded an AIO exterior job on this car for the factory wheels this car came with. He did not like the looks of the factory wheels and found these 5 star wheels from an older 5 series.

The factory wheels that came on this car have a good bit of curb rash and need to be refinished. Once I get them squared away I will equip them with winter tires for my wife’s BMW.

Great work Mike!
Just some amazing work displayed in excellent fashion! Really great having the products and tools listed too!

That sounds like a pretty awesome barter deal, Mike. Those factory wheels are steep. I had to think of who got the better deal (no brainer...your customer did!).

great work.
The gas filler door looks to be a different color from the rest of the car.
Is it just an optical illusion?

Great work as always Mike, I like the wheel shot.
Btw how do you like the tornador ? Haven't really got too much into
Interiors besides APC .

Nice work Mike!

What dilution ratio did you use with the Tornador and D101?

Outstanding job as always my friend!

Thanks Kyle!

Thank you sir!
I like to share what I used to achieve the results I do.

I thought so as well. I made sure that he got a good deal as well from what I provided on this service.
Tell me about how expensive they are! OEM BMW alloy wheels are not cheap!

great work.

Thank you.
When the body panels were repainted, the filler door was removed and thus still original paint. I took some paint readings and the filler door was averaging 100 microns thinner than the surrounding panel.

Awesome work buddy! Got to be starting to get cold there!

Thanks Justin! It is!

I love the Tornador Black. It is an invaluable tool when working with door jambs, trunk jambs, etc. Pick one up. You wont regret it. Just make sure you have a big enough compressor to supply it as it can be an air hog.

Nice work Mike!

What dilution ratio did you use with the Tornador and D101?

Thanks Frank!

I normally use 10:1 or 4:1 for the dilution based on how bad the door jambs are. On this one, 10:1 was all that was needed along with the pressurized air.

Cool trade Mike. Got pics of the old set of wheels?

Thank you Lemny! I do have pictures that are on my DSLR. Will share later on down the road when I get the wheels refinished.

If you are curious about the style they are the #285.

Mike, nice work with an AIO...and great work on the trade!

Thanks Scott!

Great work as always, Mike! I also like how you played with your cameras debth of field to create a miniature hotwheels car effect

Wasn't that cool? But it looks to me more like a postprocess effect--how did you do it, Mike?

I've got a 2011 BMW 335d and I love the rims that came with it. Mine are the spoke type that I think look way better than the ones on that car. Great work as always. When are you coming home?

Great work as always, Mike! I also like how you played with your cameras debth of field to create a miniature hotwheels car effect. Good deal on the OEM rims. Funny the customer prefers those Rial rims over them.

Thanks Ian! Looks pretty cool doesn't it!? I put it above everything else as it is edited a bit and wanted to keep it separate from the other pictures.

From what he told me those wheels were from an older e39 5 series. Now that you mention it, they could very well be Rial wheels.

Thank you.

The camera itself has the function to add that effect.

Awesome job Mike. I usually cringe when I see a repaint because I'm so picky. The right front fender caught my eye.

Thank you good sir!

I too caught the repainted panels from inspection. I pulled out the PTG to verify what has been repainted and what was not.

I didn't know you had a BMW!? Awesome! :postpics:

Thank you good sir. I will be returning stateside in the upcoming months. Most likely first quarter '17.

Lots of prep for just an AIO, but looks great as always!!

Wish I had before pictures to document how filthy it was. It really needed the extra cleaning work. Thanks!!!
