Hello again from Indonesia,

Yesterday I did a full body correction of a Nissan X-Trail or perhaps Rogue in American Market. From my experience, nissan's black color usually is sticky paint. Trial and Error on the X-Trail, it is confirmed that the paint is sticky and also soft. Therefore the best combination I used was Rotary + Menzerna PF2500 + Finishing pad.

Before the correction step:

Nasty isn't it? was a "loyal servant" of cheap robotic Carwash.

And here are the after correction pics:

Details:

I did a rinseless wash first using ONR to save time. After that, I clayed the whole car. Next, Using the combo of menz pf2500 + finishing pad, I put 700RPM first to spread the polish first. I gradually step up the speed until 1800RPM (about 3 pass on 1800RPM) then I also gradually step down the RPM back to 700RPM --> 7-8 passes in total.

Last but crucial, I topped the car using CarPro Essence Plus. Based on previous cars and on waterbeadings/sheetings behavior, CarPro Essence Plus can withstand Jakarta's harsh weather for about 5-8 months...not bad.

Happy detailing, guys! :buffing:

2 step
step 1: Rotary + menzerna 2500 + finish pad
step 2: Rotary + Carpro pluss + finish pad
??? it's right ?

For the first step, yes it is. However the second step i preferred to apply the carpro essence+ manually using a cheap foam pad from turtle wax.

When I put my rotary over 1500 rpm. Pad so hot. Very hot on the surface. Foam pad become soft. It not cut swrils in the paint. I usually set set speed 2- 2.5 (900 -1.200 rpm) on my rotary. Move slowly. I will try your experience in next car. Toyota Camry black paint

Of course the pad will be hot, so does the panel. But, did you put extra pressure on it? Whenever I use rotary, I just make sure the pad angle is perpendicular on car surface and not pressing it too much (pad only kiss car surface).

What usually I did with Rotary buffer either compounding and polishing: 2 passes of 600-700 rpm (lowest rpm that available in your rotary buffer), 2 passes of 1000 or 1200 rpm, 2-3 passes of 1500 or 1800 rpm, 2 passes of 1000 rpm, and the last one: 2 passes of lowest RPM again.

I did the camry last week. After changing your method of polishing. With flex rotary.
I test spot 1: with menzerna 2500 (medium cut polish) + foam pad 2 (scale 1-5)
Pad Scale:
1: heavy cut
2: medium cut
3: (soft) polish
4: (soft) finish
5: apply sealant/ wax
Detailing Kingdom (Malaysia)
Speed 1: 2 pass
Speed 3: 2 pass
Speed 4: 3-4 pass
Speed 1: 2 pass
Total: 7-8 pass (do not add speed 1)

90% swirls removed. But under swirls is RIDS

I test spot 2: keep your method but change the compound ( menzerna 2500 -> Menzerna PG1000)
70-75% defect removed.
This is soft black paint. Next step. I use Chemica Guys BlackLight with apply wax pad - speed 3 to finish this process
