Just completed this NSX yesterday.

The owner was not concerned about getting the scratches out---the primary goal was to get the oxidation on the paint removed.

He warned me that the clear coat was on the thin side now since it's been buffed out several times before coming to me.

He had the car washed and clayed, glass, door jams, wheels/tires and interior was cleaned!

Did the following:

1. Waterless wash and dried.
2. Griots 6" DA polisher with 5" backing plate. (8 mm throw polisher is less aggressive than a large throw polisher).
3. Griots finishing sealant w/Griots black finishing pads and Rupes white pads.
4. Roof and quarter panels w/ Griots microfiber pads and finishing sealant.
5. Slow machined polished Polish Angel Master Sealant.

I was really blown away this morning (next day after polishing the car) in how bright, glossy and dripping wet the paint looked!!!

Onto pictures:

I really love that Griots Finishing Sealant!!! Buttery smooth, long work time and really does a very fine cut to boot.

Polish Angel---Best sealant by far! Paint is dripping wet big time!

I'm in love! Grin...

Beautiful old paint there, Tommy. And now ready to keep fighting the elements.

Cousin Tom whipping a$$ with Griot's!!

Awesome job, bud. Just beautiful.

These kinds of posts are what people read, and believe "Hey, I can do this too!"

Thanks Paul...

Tom,

You’re welcome:)

Try the Tapatalk app, Tapatalk makes pictures on AGO a breeze. I give all credit to Eldorado2k. He showed me how easy Tapatalk is for photos.

That NSX is probably one of most important cars to come out of the 90’s. And is one of the few cars that still looks as good as it did back then, in this NSX’s case now it looks better then it did 26 years ago!

That paint is incredibly glossy! Great work.

Great job/work/results Tom! Very well done! Looks great! Cherry pie anyone?

Another excellent job! I love the NSX. Someday, i will find one to pick up! That car was so far ahead of its time when it debuted. It had very good performance for being "just a V6." Still has an excellent design IMO.

Better go going---NSX is about to go through the roof!

Just read an article about owning a NSX has a better ROI than investing in the stock market.

the NSX was such an important car, not just historically but for Acura and supercars a like. It was a rival to some of the best built F-40's etc, and Acura stood up to the test. Not only is this a much sought after vehicle, despite Acura releasing a new version of the vehicle, many enthusiasts don't see the new one in the same light as the original, thus really keeping the nostalgia and collectible values high on the original.

Great job Tom!!!
