Hey i'm in metairie. it's a 3 hour drive to where he's at and for me it's worth it to spend a day with a great guy and learing something i love.

Want to say this and most will agree, even the pros.
There's always room for us to grow.
I still to this day learn new ways to make detailing easier and fun.

Kevin I just wanted to say openly that I really appreciate your call the other day. I know that most of what we discussed had nothing to do with detailing, (more important matters we both need to get out of the way it seems) and hopefully we'll both be on better footing by warmer weather.

But it is clear, that you have a passion for the craft my friend!:props:

We discussed "getting in the zone" and how it's been able to help both of us with our coping mechanism. I'm willing to bet that we are far from the only ones that do the very same thing. ;)

Hope your weather this weekend is decent, and allows for a full day of learning and sharing.:xyxthumbs: As for us, it's going to rain (AGAIN) and dropping to the teens! :eek:
 
Now that the holidays are over, I'll have some time to go take a "lesson" myself. :)
 
It's really great reading about get togethers like this. I've met many people through a local car club that I helped put together many cruises and get togethers (Honda S2000). Most of the people I met were from an online car forum so it's great to get to know the person behind the screen name.

I really enjoyed our talk also, we spoke about something much more important than detailing, hard to beleive there's something more important than detailing but we all have our lives to live and for some, like us it's not easy some days.
However we did talk about detailing at the end of our talk which was fun.

So I plan on calling you from time to time.

The weather here will be clear, in the low 30's but will warm up to 58, wants we get going we'll warm up. Lol
Btw. My wife got me a box of Lidocaine patches and does help some, not much but I'll take anything that helps. :dblthumb2:

Well just got off the phone with Grady, we're all set:dblthumb2:
Tomorrow will be cold so I called my brother to use his shop, it will be warm in there so more fun:)
Could have done it in my garage but still would be too cold for us.

Just can't wait to meet him and get started, also can't wait for some before and afters which we'll post.

Man I have everything packed and ready. My other order arrived today so got almost everything I need I think. Kevin will tell me what I'm missing and then make another order next week. man I'm not going to sleep tonight lol too damn excited.
 
Great job. I think it is great how we all seem so eager to educate one another. I have been working with 2 local detailers, they seem eager to improve their skills. I have referred this site, I hope they join.

I'm looking forward to pics and vids:dblthumb2: If you use 105 take some vid as well. I get good results with 105 but still trying to perfect using it. I think its really cool you are willing to teach a fellow member, I wish you guys were closer.
