I've posted a couple threads recently about my "constructive criticism" of the LC orange pad. I was not bashing the pad, just expected more from it. I think it does a tremendous job as a "heavy polishing" pad that leaves a nice finish. It's just not a cutting pad of any sort, in my opinion. Anyhow, it's very easy for a company to back their products and be condescending or aggressive in their responses. Eric did not do that in the least bit. He responded in a very professional manner stating his beliefs. To me, I was very fond of that. This shows confidence in his products. Eric is even sending me some beta pads to test of his possible new line. I'm PUMPED about this. Thanks, Eric! :props:

P.S. Not sure which part of the forum I should have posted this?

Mark thats whats up man!!! Always nice to hear that a company response to your vent/frustration/suggestions/comments in a professional manner. Thats pretty cool about the beta test pads. I'm looking forward to hear about your experience with these pads.

Let us know ow how the new pads work out. Companies also appreciate constructive criticism.

I think the grey finishing pad should not be called a finishing pad, even though it has no cut, it can remove very light swirls, therefore it is too aggressive, it should be called a very-super-light polishing pad...

Eric if you can hear me, can I have some beta pads, and send Alex some so he can play with it on his PE-14 too, thanks!

Mark no like orange pad! Orange pad make Mark Angry...you no like Mark when he angry...puny orange pad labeled light-cutting make Mark laugh

There is NO ROOM for your condescending, sarcastic reply in this thread.

Eric is a great guy and give some feedback on the new pads.

off topic: i want to know how one can tell if someone is being sarcastic via text, i think he was being honest as imo the grey pad has some cut, i bet if i used grey with some water it could remove some swirls on soft paint, but with so many different paint systems even a waxing pad could have "cutting ability" on soft paints. on another note there is plenty of room for more reply's i think i seen threads go to 100+ pages so therefore there is plenty of room! (sorry being a typical smart arse! i do the same thing when people say they are "starving" no your not starving your just hungry if you were starving you would probably be in the hospital or eating anything available.

He said it had no cut. Anyhow, I'm almost positive he was being sarcastic. If not, my bad, but it sure came off the way.

no need to get defensive Mark, I was just playing with you. I thought we were buddies and I could play with you ;\
You were starting to turn green :)
Mark smash puny "rock"

That's cool that he contacted you personally like that. Especially since he's letting you try out some new stuff...very cool.

I've always felt the same way about the orange pad. It works OK with compound...but nothing insane. Definitely pails in comparison to the MF cutting pad for sure.

But, with some 205...does wonders. I feel that way about a lot of products, and pads though. Sometimes they work as advertised, and most the time you find some other use for them, ha.

Mark,
You gotta tell me your secret man...

...the about how you get so many people to send you stuff to try. Luckiest detailer on this forum.

I am a fan of LC pads. Nice to hear that they are responsive to consumer info on their products. Eric has always been helpful and always polite on all the forums I see him on.
