Nice!!!!!!!!!!!:applause: I had the gerber suspention and a Leatherman wave, lost them both, it always seems that I loose my multi tools:( I have looked at benchmade knifes alot but I dont like the way they look...... Since you look to be knowledgeable in this field what is your opinion on the Coldsteel Recon 1 and Coldsteel knifes in general?

A long time ago I had a CS I think it was the gunsite series or something like that and I didnt really care for it. What is going to be the purpose of this knife and what is your price limit, i can pick you out a decent one.

Really! I have been shoping around for a long time......

Im into high tec tactical folders. My price range is around 150$ I am looking for a super heavy duty folding knife than can take immense beating , you know, massive blows on the spine, handle, and locking mechanism. But one that is a EDC(every day carry.), and most of all it has to have a super tough extra heavy duty clip. I am not sure what Rockwell hardness I want, maybe 58ish, I want the knife to stay sharp for a long time but I want the blade to not be brittle and snap under pressure, so a comprise. I need the knife to have an epoxy coated blade. Also the knife must be able to resist water exposure for good amounts of time. If it would be possible, I would like the knife to have 1 or 2 other tools or a special handle that can become a useful tool. A must for me also is that the knife must have a plain edge....or.... the factory must have sharpening services for the serrated portion. i am looking for a blade length of aprox. 4 inches. Here is the tough part.....it has to look good to me;) Honestly I have not found a knife that I like more than the CS Recon 1 tanto. But if you can find one, go for it.:D

New Graham Knives - Detail

or the spyderco mini manix would also be a good choice.

I just got the caly3 the other day and I love it for every day carry purposes.
I just took a look at benchmades line up and........................its like they only carry the ugly ones in the stores, I saw a few knives in there that I was drooling over....I never bothered to take a look at their whole line up as the ones in the stores I always see look like blaaaa. benchmade might have them selfs a new customer...... Im going to keep looking at some others, P.S. that website is:righton:

Firearms? MEE TOO!
Put em up killer!
P226 SS
HK USP9
Ruger .22
Mossberg Security Shotgun

Lets thread jack Joy for once!

I have a Mossberg 12 gauge sawed off shotgun with a pistal grip. I only use it when I don't want to miss.

Oh, I love guns! Yay

Remington 303 20 gauge shotgun Semi-auto, hehe I hate pumps! Gas operated all the way!
Ruger .22 cal Mark II pistol

Its not thread jacking, its cool with me, love guns too! :D We have over 3,000 rounds for the shoties, my dads got a .45 Kimber custom shop pro eclipse II under his pillow every night, and my mom and my dad have 2 more shoties each, 12 gauge over-under(booo!)

I like over-unders for shooting trap and skeet, you should try sometime if haven't already. Trap and skeet is alot of fun and really helps improve your shooting skills. Although I like smaller gauge over-unders because the are easier on the shoulder when shooting trap/skeet all day.

I have!!:D I use to do "sporting clays" as they called it. I tried trap a few times too... :) My parents have a conversion kit for the 12 gauges, they can turn them into 410,28, and 20(sorry if those are wrong its been 3 years).

I need to get one these shotguns you can convert, 28 gauge is what I usually use it is a Browning over-under and shoots like a dream (my friend's gun but on my want list).:righton:

that kershaw looks pretty cool. The only thing that I dont like about the knives that leave the blade exposed like that is I would imagine that the blade would get nicked by more things in your pocket.

For what you described, the sypderco manix series is about as hearty as your going to find. You might also look at the spyderco salt series as they will all resist rust. I really really like spyderco knives and their service is unbeatable. I think the SOG X-ray Vision or the SOG I think Flash series would both interest you as well.

50 Caliber is a tank .... but it was fun to take it to the range (we have an outside range called Liberty City) with friends. Everybody would man handle like Tomb Raider until they fired it ONCE. More than several sore arms, just trying to hold that puppy locked in two arm stance.
Fixed :D

I took a look at both knives you recomended, however I did not like the way they looked, I know knives are tools but I like function and fasion. I love the look of this SOGTF7 New Graham Knives - Detail For a medium-high end knife it looks awesome:righton: But if you look at it side-by-side with the CS Recon 1, you can see the recon has 5 beefy bolts holding the handle together, on the sog there are 5 bolts too, but they look about half the size as the CS Recon. If money were a big issue I would get the sog no doubt... but I am willing to pay twice as much for a better knife. I have heard a lot of people talking about how CS makes crappy low quality knives, then I hear that others live and die by them. These are the other knives that I am considering: New Graham Knives - Detail , New Graham Knives - Detail , New Graham Knives - Detail

Man I sware to you I melted when I saw this knife Product Details - Benchmade Knife Company "Specialty Cutlery, Knives, and Rescue Tools" The only problem is its serrated! Man I wish they had that unserrated! I am still enchanted by this one New Graham Knives - Detail but I dont know how it would feel in the hand, the handle seems a bit odd to use under demanding conditions.
I also like this one, New Graham Knives - Detail but im not sure how effective, or safe that blade is for cutting, that "speed bump" might cause problems when cutting.

I think thats about it for know. Now all I have to do is pick one, or find one i like more than the rest, this sucks. the recon 1 by the way is still on the list, it looks like it has beefier bolts than all the rest. Help.:(

Time to upgrade to a real 9mm however we often have war at work with airsoft guns and that can be some fun. Except I always think of the movie Christmas story and the "you will put your eye out" quote when having a airsoft war.:D
