Next time I need soap I'm going to try the Duragloss. I hear such great things about it.

I just used #903 (half gallon size) today for the first time today. Aside from the fact it smells like Cherry Robotussin it works great. Sudsy, slick, 2 ounces to about 4 gallons of water worked great.

I think it smells GOOD!!! :xyxthumbs:

I use the recommended dose of 1 oz. to every 1 gallon, and WOW, verrry slick and sudsy!!

I have an aversion to Cherry things. Growing up all my medicine was cherry flavored, I barfed (big time) off Cherry Skol as a teen. I can't eat cherries or smell them without having issues. frankly I'm surprised I made it through the wash without horking, but once the soap is in the bucket the smell isn't nearly as overpowering as in it's concentrate form.

Oh, and I also used 1oz of ONR in the same wash bucket to aid with water spots.

:)

So then, you'd need to use the three bucket method.:laughing:

Do you follow the instructions on the bottle or use less product to remain wax safe?

Do you add more soap if you have hard water?

Use ONR in your soap for hard water and extra lubricity?

Most people use less because they want to "save" as much as they can. The instructions from the manufacturer are on there for a reason. ;) If it says use 1 oz. per gallon, I use 1oz. per gallon. These high quality soaps will not strip wax. ONR will help with lubricity(not needed for Duragloss), but also help with water spots. If you're using ONR, you could use 1 oz. of that in place of the regular car wash soap.

Everyone's trying to stretch a buck these days. That's part of the reason Optimum stuff is so popular. A quart of OID makes a GALLON when mixed with DI water. Likewise that a Gallon of it makes 4 gallons. Almost everything they make dilutes into a more cost effective solution than other companies are providing.

ONR can make clay lube, QD and of course the rinseless wash by using varying amounts of the same product to DI water. Less containers to keep around, if that's your thing.

2oz for 4 gallons of water was more than enough suds/lubcricity/cleaning power for DG #901/902/903.. Next time I'll try it without the ONR though.

:props:

Understandable about stretching the dollar, as long as it's still very effective. :xyxthumbs:

Yes. 3:1. Though if you experience streaking you can stretch it to 4:1 which then makes it 1 1/4 gallons ;)

With DG #902, it says use 1 oz. to every 1 gallon, so that's what I do. Although, it may work perfectly fine 1:1. I just like to follow the directions. :props:

That's fine. I'm sure manufacturer's would NEVER recommend more than what's needed. Ya know, so you can run out of it sooner and buy more? :dblthumb2:
