...then Colli 845 is king. Less than $20, lasts for 6 months on 24/7 outdoor vehicle, a little goes a long way, and a bottle will last for years (4 years and not done with mine). I just tried out Colli 915 and that's amazing too, but a bit more expensive.

IMO, after you've got the paint perfect or as close as you can get to it, there's really no way that #476 can be beaten! I put 2 coats on before last winter and it got me through with flying colors (average temp this past February was 16 degrees) Its very easy to apply and remove and I've even applied it to my own car and left it on the car overnight and removed it the next day without a problem, just to see.

When the time comes to apply that last coat going into the winter, I will be reaching again for #476!

IMO:
If a person cleans and polishes the vehicles' paint
to the best as deemed possible, most any finishing
carnauba Wax will suffice...regardless the price.

In fact:
After a cleaning/polishing session, such as mentioned
above, I've even used Formula1, a $3.99 Wax I found
at Menard's, to elicit a most rewarding shine from the
newly cleaned and finely polished paint. :xyxthumbs:

Note:
There are plenty more (anecdotal) examples of
lower-priced Waxes performing in a like manner
that I could share...but that would take up a lot
of broadband space. However they can be found
in the catacombs of FUNX650's detailing-archives.

Bob

You and I have talked via pm about a few certain waxes...don't recall all of them....

...but am I going to have to search all of the catacombs, Bob...all 15,000+ of them? You're killing me. LOL!!

Some of them have been:
Formula1
Nu Finish
Vista Wax
Mothers Pure Carnauba
Simonize original paste wax
Turtle wax Ice paste wax

err...ummm...help me out, Bob. We can't take much more space than we already have.

I second this. I love 845, and 476 takes all that 845 does well, and makes it last longer. I use them both routinely. I don't need to, but I am so going to grab some 915 just because.

Imy favorite is meguiars ultimate paste wax. But with all the talk of Collinite I may have to try it

845 is my favorite, I really do like Wolfgang sealant but cant deal with the 12 hour cure.
As you said for $20 bucks its a great business decision, why spend more.

After stumbling upon this site from Tundrasolutions, I have read extensively how to's, posts, reviews, etc. Took the plunge and spent about $500 bucks on products. Spent multiple weekends correcting paint on two cars. Became a big fan of the Menzerna line & WG 3.0 sealant. Used it on both cars (Toyota Tundra-slate metallic paint & Camry-charcoal metallic paint). Prior to wax both cars were prepped the same. Used P21s wax on my truck and used Collinite 845 on the wife's camry.

Both cars looked amazing and the products really brought out depth and metallic flake in the paint. After about 2 months and a fair amount of rain, I think her car looks better. For whatever reason it shows less rain spots, attracts less dust, and generally looks cleaner than my truck although we have similar driving habits.

I now have enough wax to last for me for years. But we I correct the paint on my kids car (red metallic paint) I think I might reach for the collinite first.

I wash my car pretty much weekly, so longetivity is not my main concern. Although I like great protection like everyone else, I like great looks aswell. My choice is megs #26
