Best Topper for A Coating

In your opinion what is the best topper for a coating (I have Cquartz on one car and Modesta BC-05 on another)?

The toppers I currently own are Shine Supply Wet Detailer, Kamikaze Overcoat, and Carpro Reload.

My goal is to protect the coating with a sacrificial layer that has similar characteristics to the coating(dirt release, resistance to waterspots, scratch resistance, etc.).

Also, have any of you ever tried putting Blackfire Wet Diamond (or a similar sealant) over a coating as a sacrificial barrier? BFWD is one of the slickest surfaces I have ever encountered, in my opinion even slicker than Modesta.

hod do you like wet detailer? I have cquartz and a ton of shine supply stuff just never tried wet detailer.

How does Overcoat compare to Reload?

Application is only slightly different IMO. But I just got Overcoat at Christmas so I haven't had a chance to really compare Overcoat-vs-Reload side by side and come to any opinion yet. When it warms up enough I will be doing my own 50/50 comparison to see what I think and which I prefer.

Honestly Overcoat was super easy to apply and the initial water was impressive. But Ohio winter destroys this stuff quickly.

Do you have experience with the kamikaze coatings or the gyeon MOHs?

Nope.

I have used Wolfs HB, OC Pro, CQ org, CQUK. But Gyeon has me interested and I am considering them as my next coating to try. But Opti Gloss Coat also sounds like a winner since I really liked OC Pro.

Not to thread hack but gyeon does look killer okay back on topic!

I typically top my coating when my wife is in one of her "moods."

There are reasons for a topper. At least for some of us.

How are you able to tell if Overcoat is still there or not? Does it bead differently that the Cquartz UK you have underneath it?

Was just looking at kamikaze stuff looks awesome. I wonder if their infinity wax would do well over cquk

who is the "maker"
Did you mean: who is "the maker"?

If so:
You'll probably need to run it by someone
higher-up the totem pole than me.

And to stay on topic:
I was just "topping-off" an observation I found
within AGO forum member Mask's prior posting.

Directly from Kamikaze or a retailer?

From Direct...

Back to topic :D, coating is very popular at my location (asia) and every shop use topper for maintenance frequently. There are way too many coatings to try here.

Well we all know that Optimum is a pioneer in the coating business and it's hard to argue with their success in this field. They are now releasing Opti-Coat Pro +. It's a separate syringe containing what I would consider a topper for their OCP. If anyone knows about coatings I believe Dr.G would be the man to turn to.

Thought I read somewhere it was OCP with a syringe of gloss coat to top it. You get the protection of OCP and the smooth feel and glossy look of the gloss coat.

Perhaps that was just conjecture on the part of the poster I read that from, though.

You will soon see OCP installers offering the OCP +.
